This review is for Chinta Ria Soul, Melbourne VIC

I know of the restaurant by the same name in St Kilda and was pleasantly surprised to see Chinta Ria located within the food court of Emporium.

I ordered a chicken curry on rice which was very flavoursome and filling. The serving was plenty and my only suggestion to management would be please add more gravy as it was a little dry for my personal liking.

The lady behind the counter was smiling and very polite. I was impressed at her concern for customers when I asked her about the ingredients in it ... she asked in a genuine concerned way if I had allergies and if yes the chef can make the meal safe for me! i thanked her for being so thoughtful.

i brought a serve of naan/roti bread with satay on the side ... unfortunately the bread was too floury and flakey and cold for my preference and the side dish of sauce was a bit oily

that aside the meal was lovely and i would love to try the other meals including laksas which looked appetising as other customers picked up their order

minimum spend on eftpos is $15 ... hence why i was obliged to buy bread on the side to make up the difference

Approximate cost: $11

Its a small casual restaurant but had a few people in it during a busy lunch hour on a weekday when I attended recently.

The waitress was polite and smiling as she showed me to a table and got me menu and water.

I ordered a red curry chicken and it was delicious, very creamy little spicy, but a good portion served in a ceramic bowl along with my steamed rice.

a quick weekday lunch which was delicious.

I hardly had to wait at all for my meal and best of all it was nice and warm when it reached me

its cash only which is my only complaint!!

priced about $10 to $12 for a main .. i think its quite reasonable price for getting a delicious thai meal

Approximate cost: $10

Half the fun of working in Melbourne CBD is discovering so many good places to grab a bite on your lunch break.

This place serves good wholesome Malaysian meals for about $10 ... judging from the lunch time crowds, its a popular place for students.

I ordered a laksa which was tasty enough and filling. The dish was hot ... just exactly what i needed on a cold Melbourne day.

Staff were okay in taking my order. the young lady did not say much to me ...

This review is for Shortstop Coffee, Melbourne VIC

I never knew this place existed until my work colleague brought some doughnuts for us to share in the office.

This tiny little cafe is tucked away ... but obviously word of mouth travels fast as each time I have been there are people in there ordering their gourmet doughnuts and coffee.

to get there its off La Trobe Street, you will see a small laneway ... eg Sutherland St and there is the shop

now for the good part .... these are the most divine doughnuts I have ever had!! i am not kidding, the variety is remarkable which include early grey & rose, cinnamon, honey and sea salt, pistaccio flavoured ... and more

sure they are very expensive about $4 to $5 each .. but worth every cent as its a divine creation of a sweet which is very unique and delicious

the coffee is one size (a smallish cup) for $4 .. just full cream milk available i understood,

staff are friendly, very happy to let you browse until you make your selection and letting you know the lids and sugar on the bench for your coffee

Definitely a treat which I cannot wait for the working week to commence so I go back to this cafe!!!

Yes EFTPOS is available thankfully!

We enjoy going to Queenscliff any time of the year on the weekend as we are sure to get a good meal. Along the marina is this restaurant which we tried recently for the first time.

Location is perfect with the bay views and fresh air.

We enjoyed a delicious lunch. We ordered pasta marina which tasted divine and very fresh.

its a little expensive... about $30 for a main, but worth the cost for something a bit more special i say.

This place is good for a quick cheap meal, we paid about $10 each for a rice or noodle dish with meats and vegies.

we attended this place on our friends' recommendation while in the city, as they have been there previously.

we all had a satisfying quick lunch.

Staff are pleasant in serving us and were very prompt to bring out our meals.

This review is for Meadow Glen Fish and Chips, Epping VIC

this fish and chip shop is not my usual ... but since i was driving past, I called in to get the family some dinner.

I found the flake to be fresh tasting crispy. the potatoe cakes were a decent size and crunchy as they should be ... even got a couple more for free which is a kind gesture.

The family was happy with the meal and will be going back again

This review is for Northern Serenity Yoga, Epping VIC

I have been going to yoga classes for almost a year and being a first timer to yoga, I found it be a very relaxing, calming experience where I gain so many benefits.

classes are held at different locations, but I attend in Epping (check website for locations).

Sandra, our instructor is a beautiful lady, very warm, caring and friendly. She has made me feel so comfortable from day one (especially when I told her yoga is completely foreign to me!!)

Even if you do not have a mat, its okay, as Sandra is very kind to bring a few spares ones to use for the class.

the cost is $12 per class, which i think is quite reasonable.

I do enjoy my yoga classes as its a good experience in an environment where everyone is made to feel welcome, no whatever if you are a newbie or experienced student in the yoga practice.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED :)

We have been here on several occasions and been quite happy with our visit.

This place is fairly new, I believe only a few years old they constructed it ... there's bistro, kids play room, function room and sports bar

The kids play area is fantastic for our little one and the other kids in our group to go and enjoy themselves.

the bistro serves lovely quality meals. we have ordered different dishes and been quite happy.

staff are lovely, very accommodating and friendly.

lots of car parking is available which is handy as well.

Approximate cost: $25
