I enjoy Emporium for my lunch time visits as there so much to choose from. So the other day i tried a burger which was delicious with pickle mayo and ketchup and cheese. i found the bread rolls very soft and fresh. to me the burger was missing some salad but otherwise it was good.
the side chips were crispy and hot ... definitely a generous portion for 1 so next time i will skip them as i could not finish them ... priced at almost $6 was little steep though.

service was efficient and i did not wait long for my order during the busy lunch rush which was good.

this hidden cafe is hard to find for the first time, so i picked this place for an office lunch outing after my work colleagues mentioned it.

the place itself is unique, converted warehouse with lots of dining areas.

the food itself is very modern. i ordered the beef burger which was medium done and had a lovely array of sauces and bacon. it was not that big in size but very tasty. it came with a few chips.

my colleagues ordered sandwiches of the day which were quite nice and lots of gourmet ingredients.

staff were very accommodating, knowing we about 12 people they allowed us to pre-order our meals so we can get back to work on time.

This a cheap and cheerful place to get a quick bite to eat, its certainly not fancy but I don't mind going there occasionally for a noodle style dish which is not that expensive

for about $10 or just under you get a noodle/rice dish with meats vegies and different flavours which i found to be good quality for the price you pay

the meal is freshly cooked and the staff are very efficient. i only have to wait about 5 minutes from time i place my order, which is good.

It was a weekend outing on the iconic Puffing Billy and we stopped at Emerald for walk around near the lake and have our lunch.

We were pleased to see there was a cafe/kiosk situated in the park so we can get some cold drinks and ice creams

we had to wait for a while in the queue as like minded train travellers had some idea in mind

there were hot food options and sandwiches, cold drinks, coffees etc

there was some seating inside and outside too

Delicious but expensive little cupcakes which come in a variety of flavours and butter cream icing.

the cake itself is very moist and soft and tastes great, although i am not a fan of the cream topping although it looks quite lovely and nicely presented.

the red velvet is my personal favourite

This review is for Bay City Burrito - Mexican Restaurant, St Kilda VIC

Absolutely the yummiest mexican burrito I have ever tasted!
Hubby and I have declared we refuse to try burritos at those other chain restaurants and make the drive up to St Kilda when we feel like one

we had chicken burritos with different fillings such as sour cream, chicken chunks, salad and rice, bursting with flavours and the burrito maintained its warmth while wrapped up perfectly in alumiumn foil

staff were absolutely lovely, very helpful in helping me choose and even giving me coin change for the parking metres

bonus is that you can use entertainment book vouchers too here yay for us

highly recommend!!

This take away business situated within the market is definitely a great place I keep going back to for lunch or snack. There is a good variety of burgers, boreks, sausages in bread rolls, hot chips, pizza slices, cold drinks.

my personal favourite is the bratwurts which are grilled and served with sauerkrat (i don't care for it personally) and served with choice of sauces and fried onion in a bread roll.

really good value take away food which is all fresh.

Staff care about their customers and are very thoughtful, one time i ordered hot chips and the gentleman said to me to wait a few minutes he will cook me a fresh batch within 2 min if i don't mind waiting! very thoughtful indeed!

great place to stop and grab a bite to eat.

this is a busy lively bustling cafe frequented by office workers during the week - or so that was my first impression of my lunch time weekday visit.

Really good service by the staff, i was greeted on arrival and i placed my order for a quiche and salad which was available on the day and it was heated and served relatively quickly.

it was a good lunch and reasonable priced for about $8.50 or so

good range of hot meals and sandwiches, coffees and drinks

will go back again

It was certainly busy on the day I chose to dine there on a weekday lunch hour. For me personally seeing a busy eatery it must mean the food is good right?
service is non-descript, the wait staff are quick to get your order and move onto next waiting customer-which is fine by me

now most importantly the dumplings were good tasting and reasonable priced, about $10 is enough to spend

This great fish n shop definitely had good tasting meals to enjoy while shopping at the Market.
i ordered a piece of flake which was very fresh tasting and no after oil taste which i enjoyed. the chips were crisp and golden as they should be!

good service, i was greeted with a smile and the order took a few minutes to cook up.

there are a number of packs featuring different meal options for about $10 mark,

happy to recommend, and will be going back again!
