We booked this accomodation using a wot if special of $120/ night as we were staying for the long weekend. When we turned up we were asked If we wanted a special of $18/ continental breakfast per person per morning. We said yes for the 2 mornings we were staying. We were given a form saying room 314 and a key for room 334. Our room was reasonable but dated freshly painted walls (but skirting boards were noticeably not done) room was comfortable enough although it was quite cold and they only had a thin blanket luckily we had brought a spare from home. Also the tv had no foxtel or option to purchase movies or DVD player and most the channels had no reception. First morning we went to the restaurant for our breakfast and they didn't have us written down so we had to wait for them to call checkin desk. Breakfast was reasonable. Although we had to listen to a staff member going off at other staff members for situating a table where she couldn't fit her trolley through... The second morning we go to check out, and ask if we can check out before doing breaky. They said yes then proceeded to tell us we had a bill of $36 for yesterday's breakfast and they again didn't have us down for the breakfast. They also claimed to have a 1.5% credit card surcharge despite no clear signage at the desk stating as such. We ended up just paying cash for the first mornings breakfast and going elsewhere on checkout day as they just made things too difficult. For a 4 star hotel that boasts their facilities and supposedly has a great reputation we were disappointed in the staff members lack of care or communication and the general dated nature of the building.

I'd never been
to this store before, and was ignorant in thinking they just
sold soap. I went in today to buy a present for someone and
got distracted looking at the amazing colours in what I
believe is called the emotional brilliance range. A very
friendly salesgirl asked if I needed assistance and I asked
about the product as I wasn't sure if they were makeup etc.
She had fantastic product knowledge and was very friendly. I
mentioned I was after a gift and she directed me to the gift
box section. She then asked me what scents I preferred and
proceeded to set me up with a sample of some body cream as
well as a facial cleanser, at no extra charge and no pressure
to purchase more. She then let me know as I spent over $30
they were doing a 90s theme day and if I selected a 90s theme
picture off the wall I could win something. I picked the mood
ring and was rewarded with a free lotion. I regret I didn't
get the girls name, but she did have blue hair. I was just
impressed with her overall persona and belief in and
knowledge of the products and genuine interest in identifying
my needs as a customer. I'm already planning what to go back
and buy. In a world where customer service is dwindling and
people are turning to online shopping, this was a genuinely
unique and pleasant retail experience.

Kelly runs this salon and she is fantastic. She believes very strongly in customer service and she practises what she preaches. From the smile on her face when you walk in, to the coffee she offers you, to the massage chair you sit in when you're getting the rinse done... On top of all that you can be confident that your hairdresser is skilled and will not only do a great job but do what you want as well. I was on the hunt for a new and good hairdresser when I stumbled across this place 18months ago... And haven't had to look again since. Kelly has even done my hair for my wedding, along with all my bridesmaids.

I have been with suncorp 10years. Have had a personal loan as well as an everyday account, a savings account and a credit card. Have also had insurance with them when I had my car. Twice did make claims once at fault and once not at fault and both times was impressed with how quickly my car was fixed, and they paid for taxis both to get home after dropping car off and to go to pick it up. Impressively they have a 24hour call centre! And in the city branch, they're open late on Fri nights... My partner still has insurance with them and we love that we can go in on a Fri night with 3 different requests and have all of them dealt with quickly and kindly by just one person

The service wasn't fantastic on first impression. We sat outside and had to go in and search out a staff member. Found one with his back to the counter and asked for menus. He seemed apologetic and sent someone out right away. Our first waitress seemed a bit distracted but wasn't rude. Our coffee came out quickly and was very good. We were then served by the manager (possibly franchisee... Didn't catch name but in a manager ahirt) and her service was absolutely fantastic. She was genuinely lovely and attentive. The meals were perfect. Coffee club is very pricey anyway, but the manager and cook/barista made it worth what you paid. Only flaw was the attentiveness of the other staff members when the manager wasn't in the store. Would definitely return though

We had our wedding reception here in august 2012. The coordinators were great. We were able to have our own music both in the form of an iPod as well as live bands. We were able to go in and set up as we pleased, as well as store things overnight to collect the next day. The foodbwas amazing. We had a slight hiccup in the beginning when barstaff weren't properly advised of the bar tab restrictions and told guests they coukdnt have something we had arranged to have on the tab, but this was rectified pretty quickly when I spoke to them. Our cake was served well. The place is old and in daylight theres plenty of maintenance things one might point out, but it scrubs up well at night when all decorated and full of ppl. We used the al Capone room had a private bar and bathrooms... Only thing is we had asked in advance about there being a lift for an elderly grandmother, but this ended up being out of order on the night

I love going here as the coffee is always top notch. Most the staff are friendly, though probably a bit more chatty with each other than the customers. They're never rude or anything though, I just have tougher opinions of service as have been in management myself. The coffee is perfect though, every time. The food is always tasty too I especially love their nachos.

I have been to nail places that are cheaper, but never walk away feeling as good as I do when I come here. The staff are always very friendly and they do such a great quality job. I used to work in hospitality and would have nails lift off very easily when I went elsewhere. I never had a nail fall or lift off that was put on by these staff.

I have been here twice now. It's a little expensive for me to go there regularly so it's a special treat when we do. Observer, I must say it is worth every cent. I don't normally love seafood a great deal but every thing I have tasted in this restaurant is absolutely divine. You can tell the chefs take a lot of pride in the preparation of their meals and everythingis fresh. They actually create their menus daily based on what they have in fresh for the day. And what is the most impressive is the service. In a day and age where service is barely existent in many places, it is refreshing and indulgent and well appreciated. The waiters are so knowledgable about the menu, the wines and how the food is prepared. They take the time to create a relationship with the customers without being too overbearing. They share neat little facts with u based on what you order. Absolutely worth every dollar that u part with.
