This review is for The British Lolly Shop, Pokolbin NSW

This quaint little shop has lollies lollies and lollies the walls are stacked high with every flavour of boiled Lolly imaginable. They have brought in all the traditional British lollies and caramels and toffees you have ever come across. As soon as we walked in the lady offered the kids all a different flavoured Lolly. They also stock some of the old lollies we had as kids and all the new sour type ones the kids love now! A little expensive but you pay it to enjoy the memories and keep in mind these had to be imported in for us to enjoy as they are not found anywhere anymore.

A lovely day out! Bring you picnic rug and hamper and settle in for the day. Hunter Valley Gardens has a great playground for all ages and it is fenced to keep them all contained so you can watch from the sidelines without the fear of any runners. Head over to the shops and grab yourself a coffee and chocolates from the chocolate shop yummo! If you are not the picnic type there are plenty of cafe/restaurants to sit down at and enjoy your meal.

Wow! You have to give yourself a fair bit of time to rat around in this shop. From what I gather there are a few individually owned shops within this building sectioned off. The downstairs area has the loveliest jams, sauces, mustards etc. They also have wooden children's toys like the old days, boiled lollies, tea towels, jewellery and many other little treasures. Upstairs is the bear museum with golliwogs, dolls, rare collectables and we stood there for ages admiring them all. Across the hall is a little antique store with some lovely pieces and this lady also paints the newborn baby dolls. Worth a look but give yourself a bit of time to enjoy it all!

This review is for Morpeth Ginger Beer Factory, Morpeth NSW

This little shop does ginger beer tasting and they also have the different flavoured cordials available for tasting. Over in the corner is the honey tasting which is the yummiest part. Normally the middle section has all the chutneys and chilli sauces to taste test if you are game!! A lot of the products are locally made which is really good especially if you are looking for gifts as it is nice to give people things from your local area. We can spend a lot of time in this shop just looking at things which is lovely.

We went and had lunch at this hotel and it was nice although I wouldn't rave about it. The interior setting was quite nice and the service good although hard to judge too much as we were the only people there. We found out the also do takeaway which is handy to know. Meal servings were average size and definitely fresh but theynwere a little on the expensive side when it is really only pub food. I will definitely try it again to get a better idea of how it is when they are a bit busier.

We called in here for a coffee and a scone and it is lovely. The building has many period features and is light and roomy. Coffee was beautiful and the scones are all made on site which apparently a lot of their food is. Heaps of parking out the back if you can't find one out the front in the street. Prices are really good which was a pleasant surprise.

I love this place! Other than the cheap medicines etc I can spend ages just wandering around looking at STUFF! They seem to have a massive range of everything from perfumes to baby formula, bottles, makeup, vitamins and even gift ideas for both adults and kids. A lot of times I can't get something elsewhere and have always managed to end up here with exactly what I need. Staff are good but I find sometimes it's just too busy, good on them though. I have yet to beat the prices also.

Our family loves coming here for Yum Cha, we have a great meal and it suits the kids as there is small meals that come frequently and it is a novelty choosing off the cart. It can be very busy on the weekend and you may need to take a number but the wait won't be too long and it is worth it. A fun meal out with or without the kids! You can stick with the "safe" foods or be a little more adventurous and order some of the more traditional dishes it's completely up to you. I think it is pretty well priced compared to other Yum Cha restaurants.

This review is for The Sensory Clinic, Maitland NSW

I went and did a seminar at this clinic and I have to say all the staff are lovely, the seminar was well organised and run smoothly pretty much on time. They had supplied a wonderful selection of teas, coffee and morning tea provided with the course. The seminar itself was full of information put to you in real words and very interactive and you were free to ask personal questions throughout whenever the opportunity came up that was relevant to your own situation.

While we were in Morpeth we grabbed a quick bite from here and they have a good range of pies and cakes available on a Sunday. Biggest custard tarts I have ever seen and the pies are all filled with real meat not gravy slush. The lady that worked there was very helpful with suggestions on what to choose!
