Miss Lilly's Lollies has all the old lolls that are hard to find now, a lot of hard boiled lolls that have the designs and words in them and many novelty lolly gifts. I found it really expensive but it is a novelty type shop and you pay for the fact these lollys are sometimes hard to get your hands on.
I love this Deli! They have every yummy thing that will go with cheese, wine and breads. There are dips, olives, cheeses, salami type meats. We shopped up a storm here and it was so yummy it quickly became dinner for tonight. The staff are really helpful and can recommend what goes well together and is similar and they give you taste tests before you buy.
This little convenience store has it all, and the cakes in the window are just so yummy and absolutely huge! They have a good range of fruit and vegie and the prices are not too far off supermarket prices considering they are a small convenience store. Great friendly service, parking sometimes a little hard.
Entering this little bottle shop you instantly get a homely feel. The staff know everyone and what they are there to get. A large range is on display but if there is a wine you are looking for they can tell you who makes it, what is is named after and where to get it if they don't stock it. Great knowledge and service!
I actually tried this wine for the first time at another Hunter Valley Winery restaurant which I was surprised about. We hunted the winery down and it is beautiful, really large grounds and the main building with the bar and restaurant is really lovely. The staff are friendly and quick to offer you tastes of whatever you want and great conversation about the winery and the local area in general. Try the Cracker Cabernet Merlot, not cheap but wow!

The yummiest Indian food! Eat in and takeaway, either are amazing. The takeaway meals are huge and the flavours are to die for. The family are very traditional cooks and you can tell. Prices are very good especially for the sizes and the convenience of just popping in and grabbing dinner. Hard to find a park close by some times but hey park further away and walk, you won't regret it.

This is a really good place to take kids of all ages. Everywhere you go it is very pram friendly, so much to do and see and touch. The small pool that has a staff member at it handing the kids sea cucumbers, starfish etc to hold and touch while they tell you a bit about them is amazing. You don't need to be here all day so it works well and is reasonably priced. You can also have seal encounters which was a real treat for the kids to be so close and get a big sloppy seal kiss!
These apartments are quite well set up for large families and are very accommodating when trying to book in with a young child. All self contained and positioned close to shops and restaurants. The view overlooking the beautiful river is amazing to wake up to and it is really quiet even though it is on the main road.

Wow, what a good day out with the kids! We had to start cutting some choices out as there is way too much to see and 9.30am to 4.30pm just isn't enough time. We may even buy annual passes as it is so much fun (good workout at the same time on those hills). All the enclosures are nice and clean, the staff around the grounds are friendly. They have no problem with you taking your own food in too which is good for families as the line up at the cafes were huge and expensive as they always are at theme parks etc. There are ramps everywhere to help with easy access with prams/wheelchairs. Best day out in a long time though!
Approximate cost: $130 for 6 people
The food here is below average with quite high prices, drinks are super high prices also even for coke etc on tap. Other than the wonderful view watching the ferries come and go the ambience was non existent. Quite disappointing as we were looking forward to this visit.
