Great fish and chip shop that always put in a little extra in the order for locals.
I love their salt and pepper squid but for people who like fish I'd suggest the fresh catch of the day
The Mogo Ice Creamery has the best homemade ice cream around. They have a lot of bought traditional flavours but also a select few homemade flavours that are delicious.
Parking is easy, there's a lot next door.
There is also food you can order but I never have.
I had breakfast here the other day with a friend and we both ordered blueberry pancakes. The pancake were ok but I was disappointed that the blueberry was only a sauce and not in the pancakes and to top it off the blueberrys were frozen as in still hard and frosty.
I had a chai which was nice but I was disappointed overall
This place is just a small independent fish shop. They sell onions rings which not many places do anymore, but if your looking for top quality this isn't the place. If you want cheap, good fish and chips and to support a small business than they are ok.
I've been to the rainbow pie shop twice with other people that wanted to go and both times I have been disappointed. They sell "gourmet" pies that are average at best and I have found to be very dry. Their sweet pies however can be quite nice but nothing special enough to make me seek them out.
Service was nice enough but I would much prefer to take a drive down the road to other pie shops
I ate here for lunch last week for the first time and was really happy with the food. I had a felafel wrap that was delicious and my mother had the hallumi and tomato stack from the breakfast menu (they don't do an all day breakfast but were happy enough to still make it). Besides this however the service wasn't great. I had to go back inside after we were halfway through our meal to ask for our drink which they had forgotten and the coffee that we had asked for at the end of the meal were also forgotten and had to be asked for. My mother has been here before and said the service is normally better.
I would go back for the food but definitely not the service
The food and coffee here are great. The have good simple meals at a reasonable price such as burgers, salads, wraps and a range of deserts that are to die for.
The downside is that they never seem to change their menu so after you've been there a few times there's not that much reason to go back unless you want to eat the same thing over and over again. Still I'd recommend it if you haven't been before.
St. Isidore is an amazing place to eat either for a nice but casual lunch looking out over the valley or for a fine dining dinner. My favourite is the buffalo mozzarella entree.
The quality is amazing and that is to be expected but using as much local produce as possible."We use and support happy farmers, happy free-ranging animals and produce grown with a little bit o' love."
Meals aren't cheap but when you are getting such a high standard I have never cared.
Approximate cost: $40
The is hands down the best pie shop I've ever been to. They have regular pies that a better than other places but they also have a range of gourmet pies that they rotate around. The pasty is yum and the quality is like no other.
Pies are around $6 but I'd pay double for how amazing they are
I've gotten my hair cut here a few times and I've always been happy with the result. The girls are nice and they've always fit me in even though I don't bother making an appointment.
The only downside is that it's a little expensive, about $60-$70 for a restyle cut but I'm willing to pay it for convenience and quality.
