Went here based on previous reviews on WOMOW and it's locality. Phone order was ready very quickly however upon checking the menu when I got home realised I had been overcharged a few dollars.
Fish was ok however was quite soggy and not crispy at all, chips were the same. Definitely won't be returning here.
Approximate cost: $10
Have ordered off these guys 3 times, 2 were ok in how long they took but one was over an hour. The first two orders were good in terms of the quality (ordered the same chicken pizza both times) however the third time splashed out and got a variety of different items all of which were disappointing.
Will only order from them when require late night beer delivery with my pizza.
Approximate cost: $17
Have had lunch here a few times yet have only gotten to the steak sandwich. Love it. Done in a different way to any other but still works.
Coffee here is pretty good too and the outdoor area is very relaxed, good to just chill out in the sun.
Approximate cost: $15
I'm getting a bit tired of franchise take away stores marketing themselves as healthy and everyone jumps on the bandwagon. Fruscolinos is 20 metres away, makes far superior pizzas yet doesn't get anywhere near as many customers as Crust.
I've had varying experiences with their pizzas, enjoyed their pepperoni pizza however found their bbq chicken to be terrible. Service has always been good though, orders always correct and on time and their website is excellent. They are pretty expensive though.
Approximate cost: $20
I've ordered takeaway from here a few times and haven't managed to get passed their Pad Thai as it's so good and cheap. One of the best in the area however had a bit of a language barrier when ordering over the phone.
Approximate cost: $15
Have eaten here regularly for many years and enjoy it as much as ever. Staff are very fast and efficient and are extremely friendly the more they see you down there.
Food is outstanding, some personal favorites include the rice noodle soups, vermacelli's and their satay dish. Also serve imported Vietnamese beers including 333 and Huda that remind you of been over there.
Restaurant is usually pretty busy but because of their fast turnaround you're never waiting long for a table.
Highly recommend eating here.
Approximate cost: $10 - 15
Get takeaway from here occasionally. Fish is great and better than most however is quite steep in its price. Found 'minimum chips' to actually only be enough for one person, used to minimum chips been enough for 2 or 3.
Overall pretty good but not outstanding
Approximate cost: $10
This is my Thai place of choice in the local area. Not the flashiest going around but the food is great and they always have the takeaway orders ready within 15 minutes. The biggest plus is the price, they're considerably cheaper than some of the other Thai places near by with the meals been just as good.
Haven't eaten in here but the setup looks ok, slightly above the stock standard suburban Thai restaurant.
Favorite dish is the Pad Gra Pow
Approximate cost: $12
Just another generic street bar on Chapel Street. Not a place you strive to attend but is ok for a couple of quite ones with mates or before a big night.
Drinks and taps are stock standard and like the rest of Chapel gets busy on Friday and Saturday.
Der Raum has the best cocktails in Melbourne by a long shot and is a great date place. The staff are amazing to watch as they put together drinks that defy belief but taste fantastic.
The trouble is the cocktails are so complex that it takes a very long time to get served but I don't think this can be improved as the size of the place probably couldn't accommodate more staff. Would be best to avoid weekends here.
On the expensive side but you get what you pay for.
