Fresh seafood, i prefer to buy fresh and cook it myself but they also cook it as well. There prawns are always great i love them. Seasonal fish and a reasonable price. The staff are helpful and if you dont know much about seafood they can tell you which fish works best with what your cooking. Its a very clean store and doesnt have that smelly fish smell like some stores can.
Cupcake towers arent just for weddings, i got one for my sons first birthday and it was a Wow moment when the guests seen it. It was vanilla cupcakes with a oozy caramel centre and topped with frosting. Yum! She also does delivery to certain areas for a small fee. Her facebook page has pics and info
I frequent Bibina as i buy alot of gluten free product and local health food stores dont stock as much. Bibina has a full aisle of gluten free products, as well as the thousands of other gourmet and international products. You can buy it all in bulk and its cheaper then some online stores. A must for people like me who get bored with the supermarket brands and prices
I got a birthday cake made by Annabelle and its was lovely. She has great sugarcraft, her price is very cheap and the cake was a hit. He photos on her facebook page show the work she does and give you an idea if your unsure of what to go with. I new what i wanted, and even without a picture she was able to replicate that.
Approximate cost: $50
We get all our tattoos done by Gav, he is so intricate in his work and the quality and professionalism is great. He is such a casual and laid back guy and his art speaks for itself.
Not everyone can get to the farmers markets or local vege guy so this is as close as you can get to the 'farm to plate'. Every week they have bulk specials and everything is seasonal unlike the big supermarkets where you can tell its all been cold storaged. Where you normally buy a few things from the supermarket product i find myself buying a whole trolley or produce at Harris. I buy alot in bulk and its always fresh. The only thing i have ever had an issue with was the meat had an odd smell but once cooked it tasted fine.
'The buncher' as the locals call is it very basic as far as decor but the meals are very home style and fairly priced. You can get a family dinner here for less than $50. Their rissoles are nice and juicy and most meals served with your 3 vege. A negative would have to be the cleanliness of the facilities, the high chair we used had leftover spilt food and obviously hadnt been cleaned properly.
Dunedoo is a town we frequently stop at when passing through. This cafe always has tasty bites, we usually just a stop and go, but sometimes staying for a coffee. There sausage rolls arent great, but their pies and cakes are nice. The staff are nice and friendly and as the town really doesnt have much else to offer this seems to be the eating place of choice by all travellers.
This hotel serves a really nice pizza, but apart from that it doesnt have much to offer. The rest of the menu is quite bland and the decor or the hotel is far outdated. Its more of a regular bar drinkers kind of place rather than somewhere nice to go for tea.
As far as chinese takeout goes, this place is nice but not much else. When you get there you are greeted by a rather messy shop front and the staff are rude. They do have good value lunchtime specials for $7.50, for this your meal is a dish of your choice eg mongolian chicken but inside the container you are served half fried rice which is fine but the mongolian itself is loaded with onion and not much else, no veges and not much meat. For a quick on the go meal its ok but i would definately go elsewhere in future.
