Kids swimming classes have been the main reason i have used this facility. The staff are very helpful and the swimming teachers are great. The group size of the swimming classes are small enough that the kids get individual attention if needed and big enough that they get the joy of a team environment. They build singing and fun into the routine so that with repetition the kids know whats coming next and enjoy it more. The prices for the class are comparitive, though i personally think they should be a bit cheaper to encourage more to learn to swim for safety reasons. The have loads of facilities such as spa, sauna, gym etc. The amenities are nice and clean too.

This was the venue we chose for our wedding day. We had visited 2 other venues prior and werent that happy with the, tocal was last on our list and as soon as we arrived we knew it was the place. The staff showed us around the grounds, helped us with all the booking and even suggested caterers and the like for us to use. The week before the area was flooding so like any bride i was nervous but right up till the morning they kept us informed of what was happening and then on the day let us know that even though it was a bit muddy underfoot we could still go ahead. We were able to have the wedding on the verandah of the homestead, pictures in the gardens and the reception building is the old shearing shed they have turned into a glamourous function centre. From the outside it looks like an old shed with tin roof but inside it has polished floorboards and a mezanine level upstairs. I would never have imagined it could look so beautiful all lit up. You need to organise your own caterers, beveradge attendant and the like, but all the facilities are there for them to use. Definately worth a look, or check out the website they have more info listed for weddings

We have used this Chad on several occasions for medium sized odd jobs and the quality is wonderful. He usually does bigger jobs but also does handman work. He gave a very competitive quote and supplied all the tools and equipment with a very fast turn around. Also has lots of local contacts so he was able to refer us to other capable painters, plasterers etc. Will be using Chad and black diamonds team in the future.

This review is for Hunter Valley Gelato Company, Pokolbin NSW

Best Gelato ever! The varieties of gelato with names like horny caramel OMG! I have tried a different gelato flavour everytime i have been here and its never been disappointing. They also do the best burgers in the valley they are pretty big serving sizes. Its always packed on a weekend and theres a big grassy area out the front that you can sit down and indulge in the yummy foods. They also do cheese platters which i myself havent tried, all with local cheeses or you can just buy the cheeses and take them home with you. Absolutely love this place and visit at least every few months.

This review is for Coal Rock Cafe, Singleton NSW

The food here is quite boring, i would describe it as food you can cook yourself at home, not really worthy of going out to enjoy. The menu has been the same for as long as i can remember and i choose only to go here as a last resort if the other cafes are busy. Charging up to $17 for packaged deep fried salt and pepper squid with something that semi resembles a salad is not right.

This little store looks a bit drabby from the outside but they stock quite a few nice things. Its not a great range like the bigger stores but handy if you have to go to a baby shower or birthday and have to get something last minute. They stock great labels and have a few little quirky things as well. They also have a lolly area too, which keeps the kids happy. I beleive they can order most things in, as i have ordered a jolly jumper from them before. Not a big wait time but if your in a rush it would be easier to go to one of the bigger baby retailers.

We had a Lunchtime pizza deal here, it was $15 for a small pizza, garlic bread and drink. Great price. I ordered a tandoori chicken, which came topped with a pappadum and corriander pesto. The pizza itself was lovely but the pappadum and pesto were a bit of a missmatch. My husband ordered a ham and pineapple which was very nice too, it had load of ham and wasnt soggy. The resteraunt is very small, it only has 2 booths and 1 table so i think its more aimed at takeaways. The lady who i beleive was the owner was very lovely. They have a lolly shop nextdoor which they swap to and from serving them and the pizza store. Overall a really nice place to eat.

This review is for Riverside Cabins, Thredbo Village NSW

A group of 4 who had never been to the snow before we arrived and went to check in only to realise that all accomodation is dealt with at the town information centre. The girls there were quite helpful, they told us to drive back up the hill, stopping in the unloading bay to unload our luggage and then we got given a key to park the car in a marked bay a few hundred metres away. Being in the snow and our cabin was right at the end it was quite a cold and dreary walk to and from the car and the pathway only went halfway, the rest of the way was gravel steps.. very slippery!
Our cabin was very nice, it was already heated for us, it was clean and cozy.Heater in the loungeroom, bedroom and bathroom and it had a fully equipped kitchen also which is handy if you dont feel like braving the cold & wet in the dark to go out for tea. They also have a coat rack and boot drying area at the front door which is really handy. We had a view over the golf course and river and were in reasonable walking distance from the shops and town centre. The price was reasonable considering it was peak season.

Approximate cost: $1000-$2000

Murray and the team at hunter floor stye helped us with our new carpet. I was so indecisive so i had to take the colour mats home twice but this was not a problem. We decided to remove the old carpet outselves which dropped the price a bit but even without that it was still a fair and reasonable price. The carpet and trades arrived on time, they let us know and were flexible with it as we have children and jobs to work around. I would be happy to use them again when we recarpet our downstairs areas.

Going out for tea on a weekend night you always expect that it is going to be busy, but so glad we chose to eat here. As we entered the resteraunt the lady informed us that all pizzas were on special for $12. The wait was reasonable and when the pizzas arrived we all decided to share, we got a seafood which was the least appealing of the lot, the topping had sogged up the base. The other pizzas were crisp and very nice, the florida & the new york being the favourite of all of us. The only other negative of the night was when we went to pay the staff at the bar tried to charge us full price on al of them and it wasnt till we spoke to the lady who was at the door that the issue was resolved. Bit of poor communication between staff. Overall it was an enjoyable night with nice food and would go back again.
