Personally, I found this salon quite disappointing. I went with a Deals voucher which I assume they are affiliated with to try and increase their client base, but someone forgot to memo staff about creating an experience the customer would want to come back for!
I was there for 2 hours and was not offered so much as a magazine to read. No tea, coffee, water provided.
The girl next to me had to ask a staff member whether she was due to have her colour washed out as no timer had been set and she had sat there for 45 mins without anyone looking after her.
The floor was littered with hair and the Daddy Long Leg spiders around the salon looked like they had been there some time.
I didnt find the staff particularly friendly and they don't seem to even have been taught the art of answering the phone with a smile as when I rang to confirm my appointment (as I had not heard from them), it was like my call was an interruption on their time.
To top it all off, the Brazillian Keratin straightening treatment I had paid for with the voucher did not work (maybe something to do with the minute amount of product she put in my hair) but I live over an hour away from the salon and can't afford another 5 hours out of my day to even attempt to ask them to redo it. (The shampoo and conditioner you have to buy afterwards range from $48 a bottle to $60 a bottle. I bought the $60 bottles and it does help the frizz somewhat, for the record.)
All in all, a disappointing experience from go to woah.

We had the pleasure of eating here just before Christmas... and I still salivate at the memory of the Pork Belly we had for entree!
The service was what let the experience down somewhat. We had three waitresses look after us over the course of the night, two of which seemed quite vague and away with the fairies, so it was lucky the third girl took charge and looked after us.
But at the end of it all, we paid for quality food (and reasonably-priced food, we thought), of which we received.
We will definitely be going back based on the food and the ambience (and hopefully there is either new staff, or maybe even just better trained staff!)

This restaurant far exceeded our expectations on many levels. They have a tapas style menu, so we took advantage and ordered two small dishes per person. Each dish that we received was just divine. At the end, we had room for a gorgeous dessert and left feeling suitable sated.
We sampled wines before, and during, our meal and managed to ooh and aah about each one of those, too!
Add to that, the amazing level of friendly, relaxed customer service, and I think we've found our new favourite place to be!
Oh, and don't forget the fab views whilst you are dining!
This place will be hard to beat!

We love this restaurant. The decor inside is just beautiful and you feel completely relaxed and welcome.
All the staff have always maintained the complete Thai tradition of being smiley and friendly.
Every meal we have ever ordered has been lovely. Really fresh flavours and you can always taste the different ingredients they use so it keeps the taste buds on full alert! We have travelled a bit in Thailand and can recommend the meals for those seeking authentic Thai.
I especially love the Pad Prik Pow but all meals get two thumbs up! I have referred a few friends to this restaurant, and all have reported back in only ever a positive light.
Oh, and yes, it is a bit of a shame that you have to step outside to the toilets outside (esp during winter!) but they just don't have the room or ability to change this, unfortunately.

Wow! What an experience!
The food is absolutely divine and so beautifully presented. Being pregnant, I could not take advantage of the wine with the degustation menu but I did have a mini-sip of my partner's wines with each course and they (as expected) completely complemented each dish.
I have Fructose Malabsorption and so the staff did their research on allowed/not allowed foods and tweaked the dishes accordingly, and were sure to talk me through the courses before we started to make sure they had not missed anything.
Every single staff member was attentive and they all seemed genuine with their attentions (clearly all very good at what they do!)
Everyone should splash out once in a while and have this experience. You are not just paying for the beautiful food, you are paying for the wonderful service and the beautiful ambience.
Highly recommended! (Oh, and it was lovely that Jacques Reymond himself came out to meet us at the end of the night.)

We were quite disappointed with our lunch here recently. The venue is beautifully decked out and the new bar area looked lovely, so we were excited about giving it a go.
However, we all had a different pasta dish and not one of us particularly enjoyed it. My daughter had the "pasta with cheesy sauce" and it was SO cheesy it was deemed inedible. My partner tried it to see why our daughter wouldnt eat it, and he complained of still feeling queasy from it about half an hour later.
I'd be willing to give it another go (but I'd stay clear of the pasta next time) but I think I'd be hard pressed for my partner to come back with me.
Oh, and the service wasn't brilliant for what we'd have expected. Being that it was a quiet lunchtime that we were there, you'd assume they'd be more relaxed and friendly, but they were neither that nor attentive.

For a suburban Chinese restaurant, you can't go past Suzie Wong's! The Hot and Sour soup is great, as is the Szechuan Chilli Beef. We love that they don't over-use "filler" foods (ie onion, carrot, bok choy etc) to load your portion up to avoid giving you much of the stuff that costs money (ie beef).
The girl that takes the phone orders is always friendly and attentive so your order is always spot on.
I can definitely recommend Suzie Wong's (and I'm not generally a Chinese food fan).

On recommendation of this site, I tried Peter's Fisn N Chips tonight. I had Grilled whiting that was a very thin fillet and covered with batter, which I then had to sit and peel off! On first bite, I got a big mouthful of bones and numerous bones thereafter. (Deeming it unsuitable to give to my 4 year old.)
The chip oil tasted like it needed changing and has left a greasy aftertaste in my mouth.
At least the calamari rings were very tender, albeit thickly coated in batter.
The only other upside is that I got complimentary lemon slices with it (which no-one seems to do anymore these days).
Sadly, not a great experience at all.
