This review is for Toni & Guy, North Adelaide SA

I have been searching for a blonde colour stylist for some time with difficulty. I read a lot of good reviews about Toni and Guy so I decided to try them out for a hair style first as a trial before I get my hair coloured. The head stylist is fantastic, I have to stay she is the best stylist that I have been to, 5 stars. She knows how to style and gave so much volume to my hair, I walked out looking fantastic. Unfortunatley the stylist does not colour hair. Given how impressed I was with the service, knowledge and style I felt comfortable to book the hair colourist who has won awards.

I was very dissapointed with the colour and service it did not match up to the level of experience the stylist had. I was very paticular about the blonde I wanted, I brought photos of my previous colour and explained exactly what type of blonde I wanted. I made it clear that I did not want to see any of my regrowth/darkness showing through my sides as I wear my hair up. I wanted the foils to be thick so you cant see any of my natural colour underneath. The colourist reassured me that she is the blonde specialist etc. The colourist applied the colour and then I was given to a junior stylist to blow dry my hair. I was dissapointed that I did not recieve the senior stylist who orignally styled my hair and booked that appointment. The jnr stylist shoook my hair and blow dried it very rough and quickly, felt like she was ripping my hair out. My hair was not smooth and still wet so I could not see the colour at all. It was the worst blow dry I ever had. She was about to send me to checkout saying how good I looked (all lies) I was very dissapointed that the colourist did not come to see the finish product and check that I was happy. I had to ask for the colourist.

The colourist then blow dried my hair smooth so that I could see the colour. I could see in the mirror that my blonde was very faint, the foils did not cover and you could see a lot of the darkness showing through, but she told me how good it looked! I then showed the photo and asked her if the blonde was the same? You could clearly see that it was not the same, I looked like I did not have my hair freshly coloured. After pointing this out, the colourist put a toner through my hair. This did not lighten my hair enough. I was so dissapointed with the service, she did not listen to what I wanted and could not believe that if I had not mentioned anything she would not have suggested to fix it. You could still see the darkness the foils were not thick enough and if I put my hair up, my sides were not blonde at all. She then said that I was welcome to come back another day to get more foils put in (yeah right like Im going to go back and pay for more foils and damage my hair by adding more colour ontop of colour) She gave me discount, which still costed me way too much for a crappy colour and service. Really I shouldnt have paid for anything as it ws not what I had asked for. There is no way that I would go back when she could not get it right the first time and did not look at her work until I asked her to. At the time of the apt they should have explained the option to book in the senior stylist, who is realy expensive but worth it how was I to know that I would have the jnr stylist. It appears that when you are new they give you the best to get you to go back but then you get the jnr! Really dissapointed with the service, they dont listen and cant deliver. Do not recommend them for blonde colour. However the senior stylist is fantastic, recommend her for styles, if only she colour as well.

This review is for Michael Dichiera Carpentry, Seaton SA

Michael is a very good reliable carpenter and well priced. I renovated my lounge room and he built a feature wall for my tv and also built entertainment cupboards. He knocked down my archway and installed a new wall and bifold doors. He is such a hard worker and cleans up after himself not like other carpenters I have used in the past. I referred him to my work and he also knocked down walls and turned our offices into an open area plan which was transformed over one weekend, whereas other quotes I had received were double the price for 2 weekends. I have recommended him to family who are all pleased with his work. I highly recommend him for carpentry/maintnenance work.

Words cannot express how much Camelot Castle means to me. It truly is such a special place and thanks to Simone and Hans we are very lucky to have a place like that in Adelaide. I have been going to Camelot Castle for 18 years and have enjoyed every single time. The owners Simone and Hans make you feel at home in a very relaxed cozy environment, they make me feel like part of their family. I love to dine at Camelot Castle, in winter it is so romantic to have a dinner for two, sitting on medieval king and queen thrones next to a fireplace. The food is fantastic. Simone caters to your needs. I have taken quite a number of friends and family members there over the years and they all love it. I have shared so many special occasions there, 21st, anniversaries etc. Simone is unbelievable she bends over backwards to make it special and gives complimentary things on occasions eg cake, wine, cigar or some port (please dont go in there expecting this)

On weekends there is always a function on eg wedding so its normally a lot busier so dont expect to be served quickly, enjoy the atmosphere/views and relax as it is truly a unique place and Simon and Hans are extremly busy and do most of the things themselves. If there is a wedding you may even get the option of having the wedding banquet eg medieval banquet, so much food fit for a king! I have also enjoyed staying there overnight. Everytime we travel to Camelot I never want to leave so its always pleasant to stay the night and enjoy room with a spa.

They always puts on a great feast. If we drive through the hills in the afternoon for a tea, Simone is always willing to cook something up for lunch or afternoon tea. The value for money is so unbelievable, the service and price/location/atmosphere you cannot get from any where else. You should compare it to Thorngrave Manor Inn which is another beautiful castle, however as its on the luxury hotel list you can pay $1000 a night for accommodation compared to Camelot which is under $200 a night! I cannot rave enough about this place, you have to go and see for yourelf to understand what I mean. I was sad to see the place is for Sale even though I understand their reasons for wanting to sell. I know that if someone else was to buy it the price would go up at least 4 times (food and accomodation) and there is no way that you would get the service that Hans and Simone provide. They are such beautiful people and put their heart and soul into everything and have been doing so for sooo many years, I dont know how they do it, they are such hard workers and put their hands into everything eg cooking, waiting, arranging functions, renovating, gardening, maintaining accommodation etc. Such a special place that words cannot express :)

Nourish is my favourite Day Spa in Adelaide, that place is absolutely devine. If you want to get pampered then this is the place. Excellent value for money my favourite is the romance package, great for couples or friends. 3 hours worth of pampering for only $190 per person (perfect bday or valentines gift). You and your partner get a 1 hr full body massage, in the couples room. The massages are fantastic. Then you get a 1 hr facial which includes a scalp massage and they put your feet in a wonderful hot foot shoe/towel which is such a nice touch. By this time you are on cloud 9, but there is more, you get to enjoy 1 hr private outdoor spa and sauna. Many places call themselves day spas but they dont even have a proper spa. Nourish has a huge spa which can fit 6-8 people, located outdoors with privacy and nicely decorated. Then to top it off, you get champagne, fruit platter and water . Truly heaven on earth. I have been to many other day spas and for the same price you only get a body massage and facial (2hrs) but none can match up to Nourish in value for money and excellent service. The staff are so lovely. You can even hire out the spa only if you wish. Love Nourish cannot rave enough about it, only wish I was there now!

great value for money. The salad/vege bar has a great variety of yummy salads and vegetables including potatoe & pasta bakes. Dont remember the nights, but I think thur & Fri are happy hours, and they serve free finger food in the pokies area. I oftten like to have a drink in that area and have some finger food before dinner. The truckers meals are huge and cheap and taste good. I used my entertainment voucher for buy 1 get one free which is a great saving, dinner for 2 only costed me $15 including drinks :)

They have fantastic pasta and great pizza. I have dined in a few times and although its a bit pricey its great cause they accept the entertainement voucher, my meals have always been delicious and the service is always great. I often get takeaway and my favourite is their tortellini romano (rose sauce) its really good.

This review is for Kefi Greek Cuisine, Glenelg North SA

Fantastic value for money. You have to try Kefi if you like Greek Food, this is the place to go. The servings are real Greek servings, huge and the price is so affordable, now thats what I call authentic greek restaurant. I share the mixed grill meat platter, you get a selection of meat, greek salad, chips, garlic sauce and pita its around $26 and it feeds two. You need to book in advance as the place is small and it gets booked way in advance. I hope they dont change a thing about that place.

Great atmosphere, jungle theme. One of the best renovated pubs in Adelaide, you have to check it out. Its a great place to hang out with friends for drinks. Love the animal noises in the toilet. The meal sizes are huge, however I have eaten there a few times and have been dissapointed with the quality of the food every time. One of the barrel tables in the front bar was damaged and had a spiky thing which stabbed my toe and made me bleed a little. when I told one of the bar staff she was not sympathetic at all or did not even offer me a free drink or to fix the table so I am not impressed with the service I received. I wont go there to eat again, but I will go there for a drink as I love the atmosphere.

A great place for a chocoholic! I always find it hard to pick something from the dessert menu, when I want to try everything. The truffles are really nice, and the location is great. You get a great chocolate fix. The service is a bit slow and its a shame that its not open til late in the evening.

2nd best place for romantic desert. I dont think it is as good as Elephant Walk but I still love this place. The place is a bit noisier than Elephant Walk and some of the booths are not as private. Dont get me wrong, it a perfect place to go with a special person, the desserts are fantastic, the hot chocolates are average. Most of the time the service is fantastic, although on a few occasions we have been served by staff who look and overworked and can be a bit rude. My friend was told that he would have to pay a seating fee if he did not order something, so we had to tell them that we were sharing a drink and dessert.
