See, too many positive reviews would pack this place out. But really it deserves to be called the best pub in Crows Nest. The fact it has no poker machines, shows it relies on its great atmosphere and service. Rather than gambling revenue.

I will say the new management team mid 2012 aren't as good as the old team. But still a good place to meet and drink.

This review is for J & T Thai Kitchen, Bondi Junction NSW

I am basing this on the one visit, but sadly it's going to be the last time my friend and I ever come here. Cheep prices for Bondi but the so called Thai lacked flavor and taste.

It started with the Satay Chicken entree and continued to the mains. Which was Basil Duck which I could have made blind folded at home. More garlic mix than Basil. Chili amount was "good".

My friends Pad Thai was more noodle than anything else including the so called Chicken part.

Lastly we could not here each other chat, not because of the one other diner. But the staff yelling to eachother all night. Would never come here again.

Simply excellent service with prompt delivery and great service. Now I appreciate that some of this was Sony (as I bought a Sony Bravia) but I got an amazing deal off these guys and definitely would be back and use these guys again.

Highly recommend.

Love these guys and the fact they have moved to a much bigger and better venue, spoils me for choice. I think they give excellent customer service is, but I always ask for Norbert as he's my man and truly knowledgeable when it comes to everything they stock.

Great deals, better prices, with plenty of parking and stock available.

Pretty simple process to order a coffee from a coffee chain, order your coffees, pay for your coffees and get them to either stamp your loyalty card or in Muffin Breaks case, get them to swipe any reward points, then simply wait for your warm smooth coffee.

Unfortunately there is a pattern developing at this Muffin Break where their till is "not working" (like it every works?) and I can't get the loyalty rewards? Add to this that the actual coffees are getting worse and worse, not filled and cold. I have pretty much sacked this particular franchise of Muffin Break.

This review is for Mie Kocok Bandung, Maroubra NSW

I love giving these small out of the way restaurants a chance. And I'll start off my saying that this review doesn't reflect the popularity of this place, whilst we were dining at the restaurant for Sunday lunch. There was well over 15 people waiting outside in the cold.

Unfortunately for myself and my three friends, we felt "Mie Kocok" was too "authentic" and perhaps just too different from what we expected in terms of Indonesian cuisine. I have traveled through Indonesia, but to be honest it was nothing like what I had experienced at Mie Kocok, so perhaps it wasn't authentic just unique.

Easiest example is if you order "Satay beef" for entreê, what do you expect? Beef on skewers, in a satay peanut based sauce? The beef was shrived up, dry and came in a yellow curry based sauce, which none of us liked.

This was a reflection on the rest of our mains, being either too dry (chicken and rice) or just too weird for words. The pictures on the menu are as advertised, but the taste was totally different and not what we had hoped for. I have been to plenty of Indonesian as well as Indo/Malaysian restaurants but this was nothing like those.

But as I said, the long lines outside do not necessarily reflect what I am saying, as plenty of people seem to love this place. Just not me and my friends.Oh prices reflect the stainless steal tables, and help yourself cutlery and water.

This review is for North Ryde RSL Community Club, North Ryde NSW

Membership was $10 last time I was there, and for that you get a discount at the bar and at the bistro - probably other benefits but who knows? As per RSL's it has a massive pokie section, a TAB section and plenty of empty rooms for functions.

Upstairs is the bistro and seems to be packed every night. The prices are very family friendly and plenty of variety for everyone. Even without the membership discount drinks are super cheap and worth the visit.

This review is for Fitness First, North Ryde NSW

As Fitness Firsts go this place is one of the better ones. Starts with the ease of parking. And a really good cardio area with plenty of machines, variety, choice and availability. The draw back is the weight room which is rather small and the 'stretch area' is also rather small and cramped - throw in some personal training right down the length and breathe of this small area and the small space becomes even more cramped.

The rooms for the classes are also smallish, but at the same time don't fill up like some of the other Fitness Firsts, so you can move around. If you are thinking of joining Fitness First this is one of the positive venues in the gym family.

I have to totally agree with EllyC. I was promised the world when I joined up, but was literally hounded out of the gym by the over zealous sales staff. Things started poorly when they took away the bike racks straight after I joined. Why?

But though they have a variety of classes, but like the Spin bike classes, you are totally cramped literary on top of each other. The one Yoga class was awful (but since it was only one, it's hard to paint them all with the same brush).

I will say in the first two weeks I think I was interrupted during every workout by the sales staff. And it was because of this I ended up cancelling my membership. Much better value for money elsewhere.

This review is for Docks Hotel, Sydney NSW

verified email - 19 Apr 2012

Docks use to be a 5* drinking hole for me, as I was a VIP who got a considerable discount. But now that they have cancelled this offer, I still want to say the service is just as good. Just the drinks are a bit pricer.

However in saying that, the prices are still way more competitive compared to other local bars like Cargo bar and a like. Pizza is terrible here, but all other food on the menu is fine.

Well worth a drink if you are in Darling Harbour or surrounding area.
