A nice place to go see live music in the Valley. It's quite a cosy venue, and can be a little hot when it's packed (about 5 degrees hotter than outside). It's good for a more intimate feel. I've seen a few bands here, and have never been disappointed.

A nice little place to stop in and watch the world go by, especially after a night out in the Valley. And, being in the Valley, there is always plenty of free entertainment wandering by.

I went here for a work function, and although it was busy, the service was still good, the staff very friendly, and the quality didn't seem to suffer at all.

Parking can be tricky in West End, but with all the public transport available, this shouldn't be a problem.

An enjoyable experience.

I've eaten here a few times with my family (they live in Wodonga) and the service, quality and value has always been consistently good. Whether you're having lunch or dinner, you'll definitely leave satisfied.

This review is for The Really Good Book Shop, Hillcrest QLD

This is how a second hand bookshop should be. There are books EVERYWHERE - in the stacks (often two deep), on top of the stacks, in front of the stacks, and piled up all over the place! The place is a real treasure trove. If you want to spend hours in a bookshop (like I do), then this is the place for you. I don't think I've ever walked out of there without the book I was looking for (and often some others that I found along the way, so be warned - browsing can be dangerous!).

They are not exclusively second hand - they do have a good range of new books, as well.

The staff are great and friendly, prices are good, and they offer an exchange program - not that I've ever used it, because I like to hang onto my books, but I'm sure there are people that will find it convenient.

If you love books, and love bookshops, then this place is definitely a must to visit!

This is a great little second hand bookshop. The staff are always friendly and keen to assist, the range is good for a shop of this size and the prices are as they should be. If you're the kind of reader that churns through books, they have a good exchange program, too.

The first thing I'll say about Archives is they have a lot of books. If you're looking for something, chances are they've got it. I've spent hours wandering the stacks here.

However, their pricing is what really lets them down, so be sure to shop around. I've been in there a few times pricing some used books, only to find that I can get a new copy for a cheaper price elsewhere. As with anything, do your homework first.

The food here is good, and the prices are pretty good, too. They are kid friendly, which is always nice. The location of the pokies can be a bit confronting, especially if you are just there to have a meal.

A great example of how you can take a tired old pub (and before the renovations this place was extremely tired and very old) and turn it into something special.

I've been to a few work functions there, as well as some after work drinks, and it has always been a nice atmosphere, with friendly staff and good service.

I've since moved away from West End, but if I'm in the area for the markets, or something, I like to pop in and enjoy a drink and watch the world go by.

I used to live right around the corner from this place, and was there quite a bit. I love their sausage rolls and ham and cheese croissants. They are a great little bakery!
