Spelling
It was good to have all spelling queries highlighted and multiple options offered so we could choose which ones suited the context, particularly as we were aiming at the US market.
We got ourselves completely in a tangle with the use of hyphens. E.g. pre-set, co-ordination etc. so it was pleasing to sort that out – back to school for us! The one issue I was thrilled with was your investigation into the correct use of ‘species' being both singular and plural. Getting this correct in this particular book was very important and much appreciated.

Grammar
You gave us a lot of suggestions regarding punctuation, grammar, spacing and syntax that were all useful.

References
A number of queries you raised regarding cross-referencing figures or texts were used by us as we had missed them.

General
It was comforting to know that you were reviewing figure descriptions, apostrophes, fonts etc. as well as the use of spelt numbers conflicting with the use of numerals for the same reference.

Overall
It is difficult to spend 15 years sourcing and preparing the information for such a complex topic and being able to translate all of the head knowledge into a comprehensible explanation in text. Your ability to point out various sections that needed clarifying or reworking was pleasing. You displayed an intimate scrutiny of minor issues such as spacing, hyphen use, grammar, punctuation etc. that made us feel that, should we have made any oversights, you would have found them. All of these things combined to make us confident in your skills.
