Overall, I had an amazing experience at Yan Refael's!

I went to my appointment extremely scared, as my past experiences with hairdressers have not been favourable, to say the least. Hairdressers always seem to have issues with my thick, curly hair, and usually tend to leave me fuzzy. Also, I have been trying to grow my hair long, and it is rare to find a hairdresser who when you say, you literally only want 2cm taken off, that actually do it.... Well, I am so thrilled to say, I have finally found a hairdresser who listened to everything I said, and gave me an incredible hair cut without taking too much length off.

Yan cut my hair personally. Right from the beginning he gave me exceptional service. To begin with he sat with me for a good 5-10 minutes, and listened to my concerns and what I wanted, before giving me 2 options as to how we get to what I want. He knew I was nervous, and reassured me throughout, telling me what techniques he was using to cut my hair. When he finished cutting, and styled my hair, he took me through, step-by-step, how to style my hair to optimise my curls. He also helped me out with products and shampoo, advising me on the best kinds to use on my hair, without giving me the hard sell on what expensive product to buy from him. I came out of the salon looking great!

I have already recommended him to all of my friends, and will continue to go back to him. Was so nice to find a hairdresser who finally understands thick, curly hair!
