I was pleasantly surprised by this cafe. The atmosphere was great and the staff were very friendly and answered any questions I had about the menu. My food arrived quick and the pizza I ordered was very tasty.

Decent food and coffee here - they used to have a great lunch menu with specials for around $8-10, but unfortunately their new lunch menu isn't such a great deal, more like $15. Some good afternoon specials too like wedges/chips etc.

Approximate cost: $20

Recently dined here with a group of 8, it was a bit crowded, but the service was still reasonably quick. I enjoyed a very nice Veal Scallopi, while others in the group enjoyed Pizza and Salmon Salads - there was so much smoked salmon they actually shared it with others, as they couldn't eat it all! The menu was varied and the prices were quite reasonable.

This restaurant was ok. The staff were friendly and it had a nice lively atmosphere and meals arrived quickly. The food was cheap but it wasn't great. The pizza bases were not tasty and the ingredients were not as fresh as I have come to expect.

This is an old haunt basically because it's the most affordable on Lygon Street, a good place for hoards of young ones to hang out. The pizza is yum and the place buzzes, good atmosphere but perhaps not for that romantic evening out as a couple!

a personal go-to place in lygon street, mainly because cafe notturno's one of the more affordable restaurants in the area

massive restaurant so lots of seating, booked in a reservation for 15 people and it wasn't a massive hassle, great location too - pretty central on lygon street

am a massive fan of their pastas and pizzas, there's a lot of variety available

toilet's hard to find though

They do pizzas, coffees, steaks and sandwiches. That's what made us eat here, because we couldn't really agree on where to eat.

Staff seem pretty capable, and friendly. We were greeted, and seated promptly. We had two different waitresses and we all agreed that they were both fantastic, polite, and friendly. Oh and like any good waiting staff our waitress asked 'how steaks should be cooked, and if we wanted the food all at once'

It took staff a while to come and take our orders and then took another long while before the meals actually arrived at the table.

The pizza tasted average - not really what I expected from an 'authentic' Italian restaurant but the cakes were definitely above average. We shared our cakes so got to taste a bit of a few of them. The general consensus on our table was that coffees were so-so, but the iced chocolate and thickshake were great.

Seating was a little bit cramped - we were seated so close to the table behind us that the backs of our chairs kept touching when one of got up.

Approximate cost: $16

I can guess that all the people eating here are meeting someone. Its a big outdoor area that sees lots of pizza coming through. What you don't see is the guy at the back slogging away sweating all over your food. I unfortunately saw it and I wont go back. I have been really generous in scoring this after seeing that event, so i scored it on before i saw it. Throw him a towel somone!!

fantastic place for any time of day, reasonable prices for a huge variety on the menu, good location on central Lygon Street

they open from early mornings to late at night.

The burgers are delicious and I have enjoyed them for lunch as you get a good sized meat pattie in bread bun and lots of chips.

The food is certainly not gourmet, but quite delicious, cafe style.

It is a great place to chill out with friends, because they open till late. They served drinks (hot and cold beverages) and good food with a reasonable price. Me and my friend had the pizza, pasta and chips for dinner. the food came with in 10 mins time which is good timing (we did not wait for a long time - efficient service!) Great taste of pizza and pasta.

Its good that the place is open till late so it is good for a hang out and to get some food after a late night but the customer service can sometimes be pretty bad either the waiters or waitress' don't care or they are just plainly unfriendly one served me and gave me the evil eye for the whole night.

Notti's is an excellent hang out spot because it opens at times when you run out of ideas on where to go for decent coffee, finger food and cakes. It has many tables so you don't have to worry about not getting a seat. The wide variety of food on the menu ensures that you will be able to fulfill any possible craving you have, ranging from eggplant chips, risotto, steaks, and of course, desserts!
