Thanks Bernie from Coldflow. Bernie offered a free in home consultation, and he spent over 2 hours explaining all the option of evaporative cooling and refrigerated heating and cooling. We decided to go with refrigerated heating and cooling as we could heat and cool via the same outlets. Coldflow worked with our builder during construction, and the tradesmen (Daniel) was very helpful and accomodating to our tight underfloor structure. All installed now and works better that salesmen promised - which was a nice change in not over promising. Overall good experience and would recommend again, as they simple know more and have better tradesmen than what I have previously experienced.

I am currently reviewing the option of gas ducgted heating versus ducted reverse cycle (heat & cool). Do you know which one is more cost effective to run gas vs electricity. My biggest concern is that running cost of ducted refrigerated system for heating. Thanks

We had no idea where to start to look for air conditioning. We called a few companies for some advise and being the most friendly and helpful, we went with Coldflow. The salesman Jason was helpful and showed us options in our price range (he was also on time- a big plus). We found the whole process easy. After 2 days we received a call to book in our installation and our air con was installed 3 days later. We found the office staff pleasant and were happy to answer my questions. The installers were polite, friendly and the even took the time to show me how to correctly operate the unit. Thanks guys!

We had a ducted refrigerated system installed by Coldflow Heating and Cooling. My husband and I obtained 3 quotations for heating and cooling for our home and found Coldflow to be not just the cheapest but definately the most professional. From the first time we called Coldflow for a quotation we were dealt with courteously and professionally. The salesperson (Chris) arrived on time the FIRST time...(unlike oher companies we had out to quote), he was very knowledgeable and took tremendous care in making sure we understood all the options available to suit our home. We were contacted the day after we paid our deposit and booked in for our installation within the same week . The installer Martin and is team turned up at 7.30m Sharp. They were very nice fellows, and treated us and our home with the upmost care and respect, removing all rubbish when they had finished. Wen finished,Martin fully explained how to corectly operate the system to me, which I was very appreciative of .
A day or so after that I received follow call from Maria at Coldlow to ensure we were happy with everything.
Of course, we we were EXTREMELY HAPPY with the professionalism and exceptional customer service we received, from start to finish.
My husband and I would definitely recommend Coldflow to others considering purchasing heating and cooling.

This is a great, positive review! As my family may be looking to install a new Air Conditioner for the upcoming summer, we will definitely check out Coldflow. They sound reliable and trustworthy.

We had $8500.00 worth of evaporative cooling and ducted heating installed. The guy who did the quote (Chris) was awesome and we were wrapt with the depth of knowledge he had and the customer service. Unfortunately, once we paid out deposit, that's where the service ended. They wouldn't return calls and it whilst Chris said they'd call within a couple of days to make the booking to install, it took 2 weeks. We were calling them to make sure they were still going to do it, and the overall attitude was that they just didn't care. Finally it was installed, and now the evap cooler started leaking heaps of water on the weekend. We patched it up and found that they had screwed a plastic pipe into a brass nut, and the nut wasn't even tight!!! A bad design from the outset and slack workmanship. When I rang up to speak to the service/warranty dept, the receptionist was so incredibly rude. She didn't want to know about out problem and told me she'd put me on hold for 15 mins cos they were busy. She talked over me, interrupted and said she had other more important calls to take. I could not believe how rude she was. I rang another number for coldflow and told the guy what happened, and he laughed. I was so furous that she had spoken to me like that, and then he found it funny. How's the complete lack of customer service??????????? Trust me, once they get your money, they don't give a toss about you after that.

yes i had a similar problem too. Had a ducted RC installed, costed me almost 10k. Ceiling plaster cracked from the cutting, offered $200 off for the damage but i paid in full and they promised to come back and fixed it but never did even after sending a 'promising' letter. Another problem were that when the temp get to 35deg outside the unit seem to be useless, some rooms are also colder than others. btw the reception staffs were rude and abusive as well.

yes. similar experience as you both.
once you have a problem, this company and their workers do not want to deal with it.
staff are useless and keep making broken promise to rectify problems.
company also refuses to deal with complaints (never heard back from them despite sending a polite email of concern at their service) despite having a so called 'service' dept email contact for issues such as these.

Installation of ducted evaporative cooling. I got three quotes and these guys gave the most detailed quote, spending time to go through all of the options with me. Their price also turned out to be the best. I was a little annoyed that the guy giving the quote said it would take around 4 weeks and it took more, although he explained that around the time we booked there was a massive heatwave (end of November) and they were getting about 5,000 calls for a quote each day, leaving their staff in meltdown! Our turn for installation came around (we got it slightly earlier due to a cancellation).

The installer Dean arrived bright and early (7am!) yesterday and worked around myself and our baby, trying very hard not to disturb his naps etc. The installation team was friendly, accommodating, efficient and also let me pick their brains about other electrical issues.
The job seems to be well done, and overall I would recommend Coldflow to anyone thinking of getting a new cooling system

Well, my experience is this: don't expect any type of customer service... we called Coldflow to get our evaporate system serviced and all was ok and guys turned out when they were supposed to. And thats where the good ends... I understand and have no problems with the fact that they did not have the right belt size for our system, but jeez, customer service leaves a lot to be desired. A real low in customer relations, particularly their reception staff.

Approximate cost: $250

Dear Coldflow customer. Thanks for posting your feedback. For this season - we would like to offer you a heavily discounted service on your evaporative cooling system. Please email your details to [email protected]

HAD HEATING AND COOLING INSTALLED BY COLDFLOW. I WENT TO QUITE A FEW HEATING AND COOLING COMPANIES, BUT NO ONE REALLY UNDERSTOOD OR LISTENED TO WHAT I WANTED. AFTER ALMOST GIVING UP WENT TO COLDFLOW, AND HAD AN EXPERIENCED SALESSTAFF - KNEW A LOT ABOUT INSTALLATIONS, AND WE WORKED OUT A GOOD SOLUTION. HAD THE JOB INSTALLED IN AROUND 10 DAYS, NO FUSS, AND INSTALLERS WERE GOOD GUYS, AND CLEANED UP (WHICH IS UNHEARD OF FOR TRADIES) OVERALL NO ISSUES HERE. THANKS

Is this industry full of useless people, or was I just unlucky? I tried 3 other places before Coldflow and I just couldn't get people to show up for on sites quotes, or call me back etc. And this was for an $8000 system! With Coldflow I had none of that. Their sales people seem to be ex-installers, low on sales schmaltz, but with significant knowledge and experience. The installation was seemless and Coldflow worked in well with our builders.

Approximate cost: $8000

Good luck to you... I was in the middle of a phone call to purchase an already-quoted system, when I was put on hold...and hold...and hold, then cut off. OK, I called again, they'd call me straight back. 2 hours later, no call & I called again, only to be lectured by the receptionist that I shouldn't have left it this late in the year (early November) - oh, and she still couldn't put me through to anyone. Thanks but no thanks - I bought elsewhere for a better price.
