Under new management very unfortunately .

I have been a client of Dr Anne Nevill for more than 2 decades. Dr Nevill remains an exemplary practitioners.
Unfortunately since the business has now become Dr Kamani ( 2023) concern the prices have not just doubled but trebled.
Dr Kamani will also attempt to encourage you to do more expensive tests. at she wasn't the treating vet on the day it was preposterous.I have now had contact with Dr Kamani on 2 seperate occasions and neither were satisfactory .For those of us sadden by the upcoming well deserved retirement of Dr Anne Nevill her skill and knowledge will be greatly missed. It is unfortunate that I feel that I have to warn people of the change of attitude.
Having previously referred dozens more like hundreds of dogs over the decades to Dr Anne Nevill I am warning people to be aware it's not the same practise it once was.

The worst vet ever. anne has sold the business

This vets won’t release my dog after euthanasia as they are kranky because they aren’t getting a cut of the cremation fees. Charging me $30 a day freezer fees which I’ve never heard off before.
Rude people unorganised staff a total disaster don’t go near there you’ll regret it

Approximate cost: $576

Anne has given extra years and quality of life to our two dogs. Our pug had a slipped disc and Anne's skill with acupunture meant our dog was able to walk until he died 3 years later. Our beautiful golden retriever was diagnosed with lung cancer at 11, in Sept. 22 . Anne was very clear about his chances, made no promises, but we followed her advice about dietary and herbal medicine, had acupuncture and we got an extra 12 moths of happy, quality living. I found Anne to be professional and empathetic, her staff were lovely, and our dog loved her.

I had a kelpie in which she severely damaged 3 discs in her back and as conventional western medicine as surgery couldn't help her I was looking at euthanasia but my regular vet having had her own dog treated by Dr Ann recommended Ann treat my kelpie with acupuncture laser and Chinese herbs Ann gave me and my dog an extra 5 years passing away at 17 yo Ann has been treating hundreds of pets over many years and has a wealth of knowledge and is very dedicated to her profession As I highly value Ann's opinion I drove 4 hours to visit Ann with my new dog having moved to regional Victoria I highly recommend Dr Ann Neville to care for your furbabies

We have been clients of Ann Nevill for over twenty years. During that time she has shown such care and diligence that we have never received from other vets. Ann has a unique relationship with all animals and most importantly they respond to her. She saved our dog from cancer. We have been told by both a scientist (dog breeder) and vets that Ann is the most accomplished specialist in cancer in Australia. One breeder with show dogs said no matter where they were in the world if their dog became seriously ill they would immediately come back to Ann. Apart from her enormous caring and emotive connection to all animals she has an incredible level of experience, knowledge and is ultimately a wonderful diagnostician which benefits all her clients both the four legged variety and their "parents". It is important to note Ann is a very special carer she knows her patients very well and has the aptitude to work through the most complicated issues. She never resorts to euthanasia simply because the patient is aged, choosing instead to look to other solutions that will support and assist the patient to achieve the very best outcome with comfort and care. Ann Nevill goes the distance in supporting all those animals under her care. She is highly dedicated to her field of science and many veterinarian students desire to work with her to learn the specialized treatments and caring support that Ann has developed over many years of practice. We highly recommend you speak to Ann particularly if your pet is facing a difficult time and if you seeking an alternative option to the mainstream veterinary science.

We had a very disappointing experience. We scheduled our 8 yo lab with sore hind leg for an appointment for the first time at 10am on a Saturday. We were made to wait an hour before Ann saw us. Thereafter she spent about 10 minutes with us and examined our dog and said that accupuncture is free with the first session( mind you we didn't ask for it). She then put needles in him and disappeared. No instructions on how long or whether he could be made comfortable so we just kept him standing while we waited. Half hour later her staff( who seem quite clueless) came in and took needles out. We asked to see her as we wanted to discuss the treatment plans and other concerns we had with him but the staff said we could do that at the next session the following week. They then gave us some meds, without any explanation around why they were being prescribed and sent us packing( $200 plus fee). We gave the dosage on the bottles that night.
The next morning my dog woke up barely able to move. He was disoriented and in a lot of pain barely able to walk. Being a Sunday, we had to rush him to the emergency vet because he looked like we might lose him. He has never ever been in such a bad way and is a generally healthy and active boy. Emergency vet told us to discontinue the meds given and that the accupuncture might have pinched a nerve and caused him pain but could not say for certain as they don't practise accupuncture or eastern medicine. When we rang the clinic and spoke to Ann 2 days later, she took no responsibility and offered no explanation for what had happened and abruptly said that since he is on the mend now she wouldnt be able to tell what had happened and that accupunture is not meant for us and hung up. I am thankful that bailey is on the mend now but deeply regret going to this clinic and putting my beautiful boy through that and wouldn't recommend to anyone.

I have taken my dogs to East West Vets for a few years now and they had both been given a better quality of life for longer due to the care East West Vets gave my pets. Rusty and Marty always felt calm when they came into the clinic and seemed to really like the atmosphere and appreciated the people that are always there.

I have been taking my two dogs to Ann for nearly 5 years and my last experience with her is why I'm leaving one star and have found an alternative vet.

My dog was healthy then ate we believe rat poison and declined quickly. After taking her to Ann there was little to no sense of urgency and she never even mentioned ratsak, she felt it was something more unusual. She was "too busy" to even properly check on my dog throughout the day in observation and told us so when we came back to collect her. She also told us that she didn't think she even was taken out to the toilet that's how busy they were, she was there for 7 hours. Less than 5 hours later she was dying.

Ended up at the AEC emergency vet to save her life. On the 24 hr after discharge consult with Ann we were met with an arrogant attitude from her. She became offended when we asked questions about what happened and what would be the next treatment. She didn't even look over my dog when we came in and started to belittle the work of the emergency vets. We had to ask for a blood test! She didn't even read the discharge notes and said "I skimmed them, it was quite large".

You will always leave this clinic with more questions than answers and heaven forbid you have an emergency with your healthy pet.
I would not recommend this as an everyday vet now that there are no other vets at her practice the whole place has gone down hill. The clinic is dirty and the front reception staff are not experienced enough and always need to refer to Ann for anything.

She left the consult door open to get us out quickly and rudely announced that she had to go "because I have three VERY sick dogs to attend to" implying that my dog was not as sick and was wasting her time. We felt after trusting her with out dogs for years she would be more empathetic or proactive about what happened but said to us that she "wouldn't hate us for going to another vet".

Unfortunately no embellishments in this review. The quotes are word for word from Ann herself.

Puddin's blood was urgently sent to Idexx for pathology interpretation when we diagnosed anaemia. As there was no access to Ratsac this was not top of the possibilities considered by us. After a blood transfusion the next day at the emergency vet Puddin understandably looked much better. I would NEVER denigrate emergency vets as they are absolutely essential in urgent cases such as this. There are still unanswered questions in this complex case.

Really disappointed with Ann. Two needles fell out of Willow over 24 hours after her visit. One on the kitchen floor, which my greyhound showed great interest in. I spoke with Ann and she totally threw her nurses under the bus, whilst giving me far more personal information than I needed or wanted. Said it was her nurses removing the needles. It was NOT, Ann removed the needles, and if she paid more attention to her job instead of telling strangers her personal business, maybe she would get it right. Won't be attending again.

ANN NEVILL FROM EAST WEST VETS HANDED ME A SHARP PAIR OF SCISSORS AND ASKED ME TO POINT TO MY DOGS EYE! EXTREMELY DANGEROUS GO ELSEWHERE! After reading all the reviews I booked my dog in so they could help with her allergy problem. However after waiting 30 minutes my dog was punched in the eye by a cat in their waiting room, her eye turned opaque. I notified the front desk and asked that they attend to her immediately. Ann Nevill refused stating she was too busy. I demanded they see her so she wouldn't turn blind and after 10 minutes they agreed. I was asked to come into a side room and informed by the nurse that they are not liable for this incident. Cleary the nurse was coached by Ann Nevill, I was shocked as it hadn't even crossed my mind my concern was for my pet. While examining her Ann was present with a nurse, Anne Nevill looked through a huge magnifying glass claiming she cannot see any opaque dot in my dogs eye, she used a hand held magnifying glass too, then put her glasses on and still claimed she couldn't see anything wrong. She then asked me to draw the dot on a piece of paper, yet claiming she still couldn't see it. I asked the nurse can you see it? "Yes" the nurse replied the nurse even told Ann its visible to the human eye. I could see the damage and so could the nurse but it took me a while to realise Ann Nevill had no intention of admitting to the damage that was done in her clinic. She then put a pair of scissors in my hand and asked me to point to my dogs eye so she could see the opaque dot. I refused saying I wouldn't point with a pair of scissors her response was they are not sharp! Indeed they were sharp! ANN NEVILL CARES ABOUT PROFIT FIRST AND CLEARLY CANNOT THINK UNDER PRESSURE YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF ANN NEVILL MY DOG IS NOW BLIND IN ONE EYE YOU HAVE A DUTY OF CARE, YOUR TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL! I am amazed people give her good reviews STAY AWAY IS MY ADVICE!

There was no injury or even contact with this dog's eye. Old dog's eye's have imperfections.
