I love ebay, I always "look on ebay first" when I want something, as I acn usually find it cheaper there

I use eBay alot to buy & sell. Some things that are on offer there are much cheaper than the shops and other items are not once postage and fees are considered.
My best advice is to do your research first as you can swipe up lots of bargains if you look thorough enough.
The fees are quite high I would say but if you maintain your 100% feedback and trust then people will put the money into your account if you prefer. Honesty is the best policy!

I have been with ebay for a few years now I sell alot and buy some. There pricing is alittle over the top now with the fees and then paypal fees and trying to get people to leave feedback once they get there item but over all it is a great online service.

Approximate cost: $80.00

I use ebay all the time. I needed help from my son in the beginning. Many good deals. Lots of things I see at retail are much cheaper on ebay. I like to buy bags, and jewellery for cheap.

I love ebay, it has great prices, and more to offer than any store in the world! Although, a lot of the sellers can be pretty ueless - regardless of how good their feedback is. This is rare, but its definitely a problem when your buying items. The customer service is also very poor, they have no good phone contact, and email responses can take almost a week! Seem very driven by making money, and letting buyers/sellers somehow sort themselves out.

This is a great place to buy things online. Many people are wary of it, but consider than when you buy from a physical store, there are few ways of finding out how past transaction went. However on eBay you get to see all this directly by checking a seller's feedback.

It is especially good for buying replacement parts that don't need to be of high quality. For example, the lens cap to a Canon camera. Do you really need to pay $15 for one when a cheap copy from Hong Kong can be had for $3? It's only a bit of plastic.

Good things I've bought from eBay are computer games, SD cards, small appliances and small replacement parts and batteries. It's a great way to find items that would take a bit of tracking down in a store. E.g. search for the model number in eBay and find it straight away.

Did you know that you can get Virgin Velocity points for using eBay? You probably didn't, as they don't advertise it well. You have to go to shopandearn.com.au and login there first, then click on the link.

Obviously you have to be more careful than with buying something in person so do check the seller's feedback, and if something seems too good to be true, it probably is.

But all in all, a great place to find what you need.

Approximate cost: $50

I LUV this site!! But it is a good idea to check out the sellers feedback and rating score, I tend to buy of sellers with the highest feedback so I know I will almost always receive my purchase! After 10yrs of dealing with Ebay, only one of my items was not delivered, but I was reimbursed the full cost, making me one happy Ebay customer!

Ebay is an excellent online store to sell and buy just about any product. It's so easy to buy and sell, and the site is very easy to navigate and search.
Make sure you buy off reputable sellers with high star ratings to avoid being ripped off. - Although ebay will help resolve issues if you make a claim.

Been buying and selling stuff here since the early days of eBay. Seen a few changes over the years, some good, some bad. It's always a good place to source stuff you can't find anywhere else, eg, the shops. Always stick to reputable sellers, as you can lose money (Say if you buy that rare "Rembrandt" outta Nigeria from "Mr. Wonderful 123", you know you ain't getting your goods. I don't like the fact that you can't negative a buyer for doing you wrong, but buyers can negative sellers for the most banal things. Apart from that, it's not a bad place to trade. Seller fees are fairly reasonable. It has become quite user friendly of late. In the "old days", some overseas payments used to arrive as cash in envelope:)

I like purchasing things through ebay - especially things from overseas - they have reasonable postage rates and I like that they offer a review system - it makes buying safer. I have sold a few things on ebay too and have only had one not so great buying experience a few years ago now and the seller was removed from the site!
