Love this place. By far one of the best play centres around. Exceptionally friendly staff, great value and perfect facilities for the little ones and parents to enjoy. Caters really well for little ones unlike other centres. Recently had my boy's 3rd birthday here and the place was a huge hit. Perfect function venue and cafe. New owner Jo is a pleasure to deal with. Highly recommend.

It was my first visit but my wife had been with the kids many times. I was very disappointed. My wife was disgusted and even our four old girl was put off by the lack of cleanliness.

First: food was ok and the fact that we ordered it as soon as we arrived was the only thing that stopped us walking out after five minutes.

The ball pit had balls crusted on with black gunk. The tunnels had sticky spilt drinks. The foam steps were riddled with dirt and crumbs. Tables were not wiped. I did not see the kitchen but I hope it was cleaner than the rest.

Service was prompt and cordial if not totally friendly.
It was mid week do there could not have been a party and it had been fine days so it could not have been brought in from outside. It can only be a lack of effort to keep it clean.

It's under new management and all my wife could say after was never again under that management

Approximate cost: $5 per child

This place is the best place I've been for two year olds. Came here for my nephews birthday party, It's perfect for toddlers and is the safest place around. The equipment is good for little kids and is harmless. My kids loved the ballpit and it was a ball for them. Food was a rip-off though, $50 for a fruit platter is an absolute rip-off

My mothers group goes here on a Saturday morning once a fortnight. Perfect for young children. They have a cute little wooden kitchen, ball pit, slides, jumping castle and a range of cars to ride on. We can sit down and have a coffee and relax as you can see the whole centre from where you sit. The food prices are a tad higher then most places but that's what you get when supporting local small businesses.

I had a fantastic experience at this centre. The centre is very clean, well organised and my friend and I could easily see our children play while we had a coffee.
The cafe was well priced.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Overall a fantastic experience and we will be definently returning and have already booked my sons birthday party there. The party options were so affordable and they were very organised.
Thank eco playscape for a pleasurable experience;-) 10/10

Wow I just saw an email written to a mummy friend of mine from this place. The lady is very rude and condescending to her. If I spoke like that in my job I would be ores right away. Very disappointing as I was planning on going there soon. Will spread the word too.

Approximate cost: $15

Maybe your friend should join up to WOMO too and write her own review of this business and share her experiences???

I had a terrible experience here. I had booked my son's party and paid a deposit. When I rang to confirm numbers for the day I was accused of not paying for entry and drinks the last time I was there. I objected to this accusation as I clearly remembered paying (and my mother who was with us remembered too as she had offered me money to pay for it) and explained that I had indeed done so. i was rudely told that I hadn't and it would be added to my bill. I was very upset about it and rang back to discuss it further and in my opinion was still treated badly and the owner still disagreed with me. As they have a system where you pay upon ordering, I'm wondering how she could still be so convinced I was lying. They also 'forgot' imortant details regarding the party like what food we would like, all of which I had discussed when booking.
As a result I said I obviously didn't feel comfortable having the party there anymore and would have to cancel. Later I sent a POLITE email explaining how disappointed I was with their attitude and the whole experience. I was emailed back telling me I was no longer welcome there, that I was an awful customer and was only one person so they basically didn't care what I thought!!
I was also told I would not be getting my deposit back. That would be ok if I had to cancel for other reasons, but I had to cancel due to their incompetencies ie. not being able to keep records regarding sales and party booking details.
This place used to be nice, but since it has changed hands it has gone downhill. The last time we went with friends (when the owner was not there) the lights were all turned off and the jumping castle deflated at 3.30 while children were still playing. A polite call out that it was almost closing time would have been a lot nicer and given parents a chance to round up their children (& their shoes!) while the lights were still on.
Overall, this was a terrible experience and I would not recommend this place to anyone.

I'm sorry to hear about your experience at our centre.
Contact was attempted several times to rectify your tab and clarify details of your party but your mobile number provided always went to answering machine.
We accept at our centre tabs that we allow customers to pay upon leaving. This is how this situation started and the customer was only asked a question. That resulted in her calling

I have to say I was a bit disappointed. It's a smaller centre than others and doesn't quite live up to the 'Eco' terminology. I was expecting lots of wooden type toys but it was another plastic wonderland. That was fine though. What really frustrated me was the attitude of the woman when I questioned the menu. I nicely asked what the chips were cooked in. I got a shock really at her abruptness. It was cooked in canola oil and we steer clear of any rancid or overly processed oils. After recovering from bruised confidence (and my tummy getting hungrier) I approached again to ask about the bread for sandwiches. She was even more abrupt. Her answer to what the bread they used was "bread" I had to keep digging "yes, what kind, what brand, ingredients?". She snapped at me and I decided I would go without and go to a little organic store around the corner afterwards instead.
They do have a selection of planet organic tea and coffee which was good but prices of all food was expensive. A sandwich was priced at $9.50 and the other mothers I was with weren't very satisfied with taste. It was a shame really. I'd been looking forward to finally checking this place out and don't feel it worth a re-visit.

Thank you for your feedback and we are sorry that your experience isn't as you had hoped.

Our chips and wedges are cooked in quality Canola Oil which is changed on a weekly basis. This, we find, ensures quality and freshness. I recall that you "didn't like the taste of Canola Oil". Obviously I'm sorry that you when then at a loss as to what to select from our menu.

As to your query regarding what bread we used, "wholemeal bread" was the answer. Upon realising that you were actually asking what 'brand' of bread we used, I responded (politely) that we mainly used bread made by our local independent supermarket, Maxi Foods.

Also our sandwiches range from $3.50 to $7.50, which are all made fresh to order. We opt for free-range roast chicken and free-range ham off the bone.

Our coffee is also organic fair-trade, as are most of our juices and other snacks. We choose local suppliers of our cookies and little sweets, hence reducing the carbon footprint.

Again, I'm sorry you felt uncomfortable with my responses to your queries, I note that it was quite a busy lunch ordering time and there were several people waiting to order behind you. Perhaps I was distracted? I'm unsure and surprised at your comments.

As to our eco philosophy, much has been adopted and changed over the past 4 years since purchasing this small business. We are chemical free, we have upgraded all the cafe tables with wooden and bamboo veneer - our woven chairs are even made of paper! Our recent upgrades are the new wooden play kitchen and recycled party tables. Much of the existing equipment was plastic unfortunately, but rather than simply replace it for asthetics, we look to replace when broken with more sustainable choices.

Please appreciate that it is a small business and that we do try our best to provide quality food and service.

Thank you again for your comments, I will take them as constructive feedback.

Best wishes and kind regards.

To the business owner, I certainly wasn't concerned about the "taste" of canola oil. I was more concerned about the dangers of it. Rapeseed, so you are aware, is toxic to humans. When using the term rancid, I wasn't suggesting your oil was unclean, just unsafe for consumption. All canola oil is from rancid seeds deoderised and bleached for consumption. Among other things, studies have identified it to be a major cause of lung cancer when cooked at high temperatures (like a fryer). If anything comes from my experience at the centre, please rethink the use of this oil and introduce some healthier vegetarian options.

This is a regular haunt for my little girl and her friend. The kids can have a good run around and adults can catch up. Watching my girl is easy as all she wants is my acknoledgement of what she is doing and I mostly know she is safe.

I restrict her to age appropriate activities.

Avoid this place during school holidays as some parents seem to think it is a place to dump school age children and leave them unsupervised. Management took no action when my 2 year old was afraid of entering the ball pit as some boys that looked around 10 had a ball fight in there. It broke my heart to see her disapointment.

My other gripe is that I cannot bring my own food which ups the price of the trip.

On balance these are small things when I think of the fun my daughter has here.

Approximate cost: $25 inc food

Thanks for your feedback. In December and January we had a $5 flat rate of entry, which may have attracted older children despite us stating on our website that we are best suited to those under 8 years.

Quieter times are usually after the morning cuppa and lunchtime rush. We usually turn a blind eye to snacks for toddlers but have a strictly no-nut policy to ensure safety for everyone.

Best wishes and kind regards.
