The Service Technician Avnell visited on Friday to give us a quote on installing air conditioning in our home. His advice and expertise was very helpful. Avnell not only explained the best air conditioning units for the size of our rooms but listened to our suggestions.

We were very impressed with Avnell's promptness and professionalism.

I have used Fallon's for over five years now. Service is always prompt and professional and various aspects for plumbing or electrical are always explained clearly and simple for a person to learn and grow their knowledge with various things.
Nick Henry for plumbing with my sink and water heater back in March and Dan H for electrical inspection recently. Few other technicians as well in the past for various issues mainly around plumbing.

Fallon charged my family $186 to perform a diagnostic check on a flooded dishwasher and diagnosed the problem to be a fault with the main electrical board. The trades person verbally agreed the fault was caused through water damage from a kitchen flood and I advised him this would be claimed under my insurance. They provided a quote of $500 to replace the part and again I advised i would be claiming this under insurance.

My issue with Fallon and why I would never recommend this company is for 2 reasons but basically they behaved dishonesty and the workmanship displayed is not up to standard.

The quality of workmanship displayed by the Fallon trades person was not acceptable he supposedly fixed the dishwasher yet after he left the power kept shorting to our entire house. I had to request Fallon send the tradesperson back again the next day to actually complete the job and had to take even more time off work to have this happen. I don’t believe trades should need to return to a job if they had the skills and experience to do it right the first time and provide a quality service.

My dishwasher is less than 12 months old and Fallon have claimed the part failing was due to wear and tear so I can’t claim the insurance I was expecting. I believe a honest and transparent company would have advised me of my rights and options considering I had already paid $186 in a call out fee. Had they been honest I could have used my store warranty and got the job fixed through the retailer where the dishwasher was purchased. Instead Fallon charged me $500 and only afterwards claim the fault was wear and tear.

Really disappointed and believe they should have shown better service through this whole experience

Hi Kathrine,
We are sorry to hear that your experience with Fallons didnt meet your expectation. Allow us to provide some clarity on this matter. We understand that your concern was an insurance claim and you requested us to determine that a fault with the main control board was as a result of a flood in your kitchen. We sent a qualified technician as requested who determined that the main control board needed to be replaced, we returned to your home, fitted the part and tested the appliance to ensure that it was operational. We acknowledge that you advised us shortly after that the dishwasher was tripping your power, we promptly re-attended to fix a minor water leak within the machine. At no point was it advised to our technician that you intended to claim against insurance. Nor was it advised that a report stating that the main control board had become faulty prior as a result of the earlier kitchen flood was required until after the fault was repaired. Due to the location of the board it's not feasible that the fault was as a result of your recent kitchen flood. For these reasons we cant adjust our diagnostic to suit your claim. Thanks for your response Steve but unfortunately either your staff have misled you again or you are completely not informed of the truth.
I spoke to 3 people in your company Adrian Jess and Amy who were all aware I would be claiming insurance for the repair. I asked for the correct documentation to ensure this would be possible.
Your staff including your skilled tradesperson knew I would be claiming insurance but failed declare they believed the fault to be created from wear and tear. Had any of your teams displayed a honest and transparent approach to business I could have utilized my store warranty and go back to the retailer I purchased the dishwasher from as it was under 12 months old. Instead they were more interested in trying to up sell me to your marketing packages and getting me to invest more than the $186 diagnostic check and $500 for the repair.
Adrian did indeed supposedly fix the fault yet that night when my family went to use the dishwasher it shorted power to my entire house. It concerns me you seem so comfortable with your tradesperson doing such a bad repair they needed to return the following day particularly when water and electricity are involved. Like I say at the start of review Fallon misled and have shown dishonesty in their dealing with my family. There quality of work is questionable and think it's ok for power to short due to a water and electricity being together. Be warned!

Great service from Nick who came and installed an outdoor GPO.He spent a lot of time explaining things and did a complementary electrical check of the house. I know that finding any other problems is good business but it is so important that the electrical system is in good condition. Very professional!
