Didn't show up the first time, tenant stayed home from work and tech cancelled 10 minutes before. Then charged $210 to clean the spray arm. He was there 8 minutes. No parts. I recommend finding someone else.

After my dishdrawers broke, I booked a service with fisher and Paykel and paid $334 but it broke again just 2 days after the service! I was initially refused a refund and hung up on. When I called back, I was offered a partial refund but am now left $118 out of pocket and with a still broken machine. Also, these dish drawers cost over $1500 and have not lasted 5 years. Very disappointed.

Approximate cost: $1500

Possibly the worst customer service. They never answer the phone, I've repeatedly been on hold for more than 40mins at a time. They still haven't resolved my issue 3x technicians down the road and countless phone call. I will however, not give up and hold them accountable!

The service man came to our business as arranged but refused to allow us to be called in to speak to us about the problem with the appliance - said he had fixed it and demanded payment from our secretary - again saying he didn't need to talk to us. He said he would send an invoice and receipt - never received - and the appliance still has the same problem. We tried to ring the service centre and waited on hold for over 60 minutes before giving up. The web site recommends using the online chat - there is none. It all seems like a scam. We have paid for a service we have not received with a guarantee that will not be honoured - or maybe it will if we are willing to wait for another week until he might come out again to not fix it - and we rebook for another week later - and it will go on unresolved - until we pay someone else who is legit and fixes it. And we have paid them for no service - a scam

So what does the term 'customer service' mean to you? Well at Fisher & Paykel it would seem, not much! And certainly in their vocabulary, is not a descriptive terminology. At about 11:30am today (4th August 2014), I was unfortunate enough to need to contact Fisher & Paykel about my refrigerator door (after I suspect my cleaner used an unsuitable substance on the brushed stainless steel finish). So after waiting well over 20 minutes, well prepared with the model details etc., before I had uttered my request to speak to a service representative for advice, I was transferred to a faceless ‘spare parts' mouthpiece, who promptly told me she could ‘sell me a door'! When queried and then pressed (not wanting to spend another 30 minutes on the phone), for assistance, she told me in uncertain terms, in a rude tone, that ‘it's not my fault'! So be warned not to expect service (if that's what you're phoning for), when you contact Fisher & Paykel 'customer service', because you won't get any. However if you want to buy a refrigerator door or some other part, Fisher & Paykel will very keenly relieve you of your money (but don't expect service)!

My washing machine wasn't spinning evenly, it was uut of allignment. They came out and fixed it the next day. Luckily it still had a month left on the warranty. I've been buying their washing machines for the last 25 years and am only on number 3 so they are a reliable machine and good value, too.

I choose to use Fisher & Pakal two, I've had to have the repair guys out a couple of times, but their workmanship has been good. I agree the machines are reliable.

The Fisher & Paykel service team is simply the best. I used them when we were living on the bay islands. They were knowledgeable and fixed our fridge in the mimimum of time. They were also quick to offer really good advice. They turned up on time and there costs were reasonable. Would definately buy Fisher & Paykel products in the future and would definately use their service team.

I agree. My washing machine was fixed quickly and he was very tidy too. Clean up and take the faulty parts and rubbish away too.

Pretty much all of my household white goods are Fisher & Paykel and when they have eventually died, I ve had no hesitation in replacing them with another Fisher & Paykel product.
I have called the Customer Care people to get both my fridge and washing machine looked at when they were under warranty. The service guys arrived on time and fixed the problem with no fuss and best of all no mess left behind.
Very professional organisation and I believe value for money products.

Service person kept arranged appointment ,informed us when he was unavoidably delayed, was friendly, efficient, and tidy. Very happy with his work and manner.

Will not buy Fisher and Paykel goods because of the after sales service.

Here are a few of the examples:

My sister and I both bought a lot of new whitegoods at the same time, we both bought F&P dishwashers and she also bought F&P washing machine and dryer.

Just outside the warranty period, both of our dishwashers had the handle/clip mechanism break on the dishwasher. Seems to me like a product fault as it happened to both of us. F&P disagreed. Call out fee was $120 with no guarantee of being able to fix the problem.

I declined and used a rolled up bit of cardboard for the next 2 years untill it completely failed.

Sister decided to get the repairer out as her washing machine had also developed problems. They insisted that she had to pay 2 call out fees because it was 2 separate appliances!!! And again, no guarantee that either would be fixed.

She ended up doing what I did and waiting until both finished their very short life (compared to price), and refuses to buy F&P ever again.

I moved into a house with a F&P double dish drawer, it wasn't working, so I did get the techician out to fix it. On the first wash after he left the same problem happened, so in other words it wasn't fixed. When I called them back to tell them it wasn't fixed, they wanted another $120 for another call out fee. I know the technician lives 2 blocks away from me and believed that I shouldn't pay to have something fixed twice. After much arguing, they agreed. He came out and said the machine was not worth fixing. I had already spent $120 call out plus another $100 on parts just to put the thing out in the rubbish. If I had been told that the first time I wouldn't have had it repaired obviously.

The service technician seemed a nice, genuine person, so I don't know how he could work there knowing that customers were being blatantly ripped off.
