I've been getting my hair cut by Tash for years now!
I've told many of my friends to go to Green Butterfly and they absolutely love it, and can't thank me enough for recommending them!
From the moment you walk in the door, it's like catching up with old friends for a wine and a laugh. I thoroughly look forward to walking through that door every 3 months.
All the staff are brilliant, and Tash does an amazing job every time!
I can honestly say, I've never been disappointed with a cut from her.
Sometimes I just walk in and say "Tash, I need a change.. do what you want" and I completely trust her. The other times she knows exactly how i want it and never faults.

tip: Make sure you book your next appointment when you're leaving as Tash is in such high demand it's hard to get in within 3-4 weeks of calling to book! (she's worth the wait! )

I used to get my dreadlocks maintained by Ewen and after trying several different dreadlock experts I have to say he has been the best. He gets my dreads so unbelievably tight all the way to the scalp. The only reason I don't go see him any more is I'm now a poor student and can't afford it. (He's the best...but also the most expensive.) If you can afford it, he's worth every penny but on my income a visit almost equals a fortnights wage. The whole crew there are fantastic and always make you feel comfortable while you're in the chair. (Well...as comfortable as one can be with someone teasing your hair into tight cords!) Hopefully next year I'll be able to afford a return visit.

Another newbie to Melbourne, saw the ratings and thought great, why not! I had Luke wash my hair (orgasmic - either I was severely deprived of a relaxing head massage or that was just plain absolutely fantastic...). I had super Nat cut my hair, and I love it. Very funky and personalized. Recommend? Yes yes yes!

Went to Green Butterfly after hearing good reviews from a friend....what can I say they were wonderful, after years of trying to grow my hair I decided to get hair extensions and they looked wonderful...and everyone thought it was my own hair :) Have been back for maintenance and I can't thank or praise them enough.

I needed my hair to look fabulous for christmas and a friend recommended Green Butterfly, I read many great reviews on this site so i decided to give them a go. From the moment I walked through the salon door I was treated like an old friend and was instantly put at ease. My stylist gave me a full consultation an a glass of champagne! Lovely! Anyway my hair looks wonderful!! The colour is perfect and the cut has been so easy to look after! I got so many positive comments on christmas day!! I LOVE it!!

Nice enough staff but hair not done as shown on colour chart...... way off the mark. Had comments from friends that it looked like I had done it myself and it didn't work out.

I bought my sister a voucher from here for her birthday after seeing all the great reviews here on WOMOW. They were easy to deal with on the phone and the voucher was delivered quickly. I'll get my sister to rate them once she's had her hair done - hopefully they're as good as everyone here says they are!

Just had my first GB experience last week and must say it was fantastic! The couple of glasses of wine were much appreciated!

I had Nat for a colour & cut and after only a short conversation about my likes & what I wanted she got to work with a half head of foils. One of the best colours I have ever had! I have had so many compliments on it, so much kudos to Nat! Nat also did a quick trim on my hair and neatened up the current cut, which now sits really well.

The staff I was fortunate enough to speak with (Ewan, Sam & Maddie) are extremely friendly & down to earth (unlike more common pretentious salons) and the small space means you can have a conversation that everyone is involved in.

Loved it more than I can say & will be back again & sending friends & family!

I have very thick difficult hair and they did a fantastic job. I am quite hard to please sometimes but i was so happy with my cut and the price is fabulous, i think it was around $60 for a student.
The staff were lovely and really relaxed. I'll definitely go back.
