My mother went into Hair in the Square at Bankstown earlier today, not only she had to wait for 1 hour due to staff shortage, she was there for a total of 3 hours just for a touch up on her hair. Not only this has soured her experience with Hair in the Square at Bankstown, this also shows how unprofessional their staff is when it comes to customer service. My mother was very upset with the way she was treated at Hair in the Square, you've lost yourself a very loyal customer. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, and they also need to train their staff when it comes to customer service.

Been going there for years, happy with Sam’s service, no-one else touches my hair but him.

MOST TERRIBLE SERVICE I have ever witnessed or my mother has EVER received from a hairdresser . The man who runs this place, "Sam" literally just pretending to know how to do hair as he clearly has no idea how to perform a simple service.
I will start by stating that I am a hairdresser myself and this man over charged by atleast $50. My mother wanted a simple full head of foils and this guy decided that he would give her ash foils and a terribly dark filler, neither of which services were requested at any point. He just does whatever he wants.
This man simply upselled my mother an additional $50 ontop of an alreazdy unreasonably priced service ($170 for foils bro really?) just to do what seems like the only thing he knows how to do therefore completely ruining her hair with irreversible damage. This man is completely unqualified to do hair and I URGE anyone who wants to keep their self esteem to avoid this mans fake services.

I go regularly to this hairdressing salon and on most visits I am happy with the results which considering the very reasonable pricing is great value for money. I am living on a budget but I still wouldn’t go anywhere else. Let them know if you’ve got limited time.

WHAT DISGUSTING TREATMENT! I called to make an appointment for my 83yo mother yesterday afternoon, for a cut color and set. I realise they operate on "walk ins", but explained to the woman on the phone that she needs an urgent appointment and could she come at 3pm please. Not a problem, although it was strange that she didn't ask for my mother's name... She came out with her hair too short, a flat straight "set" (WHAT sort of rollers would DO that!). Sad part is she has Alzheimers and was too frightened to tell them she wasn't happy. The reason for the urgency was that she had a lunch today which she and my Dad didn't attend as she was too embarrassed to go. Dad called this morning to tell me how distressed and upset she was and to ask where else they should go to get it fixed. I sent them elsewhere at a huge cost, but at least she's happy. I called Hair at the Square Carlingford this evening to speak to the manager - there isn't one apparently - and explained the situation to a very rude woman who clearly didn't care. When I asked her what she would do for us she replied "Nothing". They don't have an email address for me to even write to their management but may read this review so I would welcome a reply or explanation (or apology!) from them. They have upset an 83 year old woman with severe dementia and I couldn't be more furious. DO NOT GO THERE.

Worst Hairdresser ever!

I was a walkin customer and was told to sit on a chair right away thinking they'll attend to me in the next 5-10 minutes. 20 minutes have passed and nothing. I was quoted a price initially and eventually as we went on my wash and blowdry ended up being $55 because a wave takes longer time than a dead straight blowdry, what? I hardly think so given my hair is pretty much straight and some other customers whose hair texture goes from curly to straight, you'd think that'll take more effort if anything?

The service was horrendous. It was as if [redacted due to personal identifier] plucked a bunch of apprentices from the local tafe and put them in the deep end as some of the staff didn't even know how to blowdry with a wave (I could have done it myself however paid for what i thought would be convenience that ended up being a major headache anyway).

Never again.

Approximate cost: $55

Worst salon i have ever been too the management dont even know what they are doing or who they are hiring. I went in for a package with the management and they got another worker to start it for them all they did is the cut? Im sure if i wanted that person i wouldnt book in with them. ontop of that there were 2 or 3 workers who did not understand english! Not fair on the customers they might be the busiest salon but they wont b open for much longer!i dnt recommend anyone the experience

Pathetic customer service twice I have been there waiting and watched people walk in after with no appointments and get served before me.I will never bother going there again.

Decent hair salon but the quality in my experiences here depend on the hairdresser them selves. Some are just do a rush job and don't care about the client while others will make you feel very welcome. Just depends on your hair dresser
