Enjoyed lunch with our friends recently. We all enjoyed the senior's menu for $12.50. Add $3 for dessert. My choice was the chicken schnitzel. It was tasty and nicely cooked. And we all talked and talked as most had been overseas and we had a lot to say. It was great

They did good with the revamp. I like the seating and all the booths. Very modern and spiffy.
Food wise, came out looking good. But didn't stay that way. The soft shell crab is only good for about 5 minutes, then the oil soaks through the salad and the taste goes downhill.
Their pizza special was nice, but coz it's not on their menu I know I'm going to have to order something else next time... If there is a next time.

Such a nice feed her. The hotel is clean and well presented and as I said earlier the food is lovely. The service provided by the staff was great also. Happy to return.

Had a nice senior's lunch at the Holdfast Hotel. I chose the beer battered fish and chips. Nicely cooked and presented. The dining area is well kept by friendly staff. A nice spot to visit when out and about. There is also a bistro menu at reasonable prices.

This really is a great place to have a meal with the family as the meals are very reasonably priced. Have always enjoyed their seafood, steak, schnitzels (kids favourite) and burgers and the servings are quite generous. My only issue is that the meals are not always served at the same time. It is quite annoying when you have ordered 6 main meals and they come out 2 at a time with up to 15 minutes in between times. So I would suggest that you order entrees to share just in case you experience it aswell. But overall we really enjoy our meals here and will be returning. Pleasant, modern dining experience.

It has been 18 months since we last went here for a meal, and I did not have a good experience with my meal on that visit.
But this time, it was very good. Three of us all had the chicken parmagiana at about $20 per main. Serves were a generous size, served within about 15 minutes. It was very quiet, lunch-time on the day after New Year, which was pleasant, plenty of room and good service.
The lady who served us (table service) was very polite and friendly, as was the drink waiter.
Nice, modern dining room. And clean bathroom facilities as well, and extremely modern and trendy!

We had lunch here on Sunday. I have been to The Holdy plenty of times and like the outdoor area as well as the bistro.It is a very nice area with a good atmosphere. There was plenty on the menu to choose from and they also had a good specials menu which unfortunately we were too late for. There were four of us (2 couples) paying seperately but on the same table. We ordered together on the same number and two of us had almost finished eating when the other two meals arrived. They also forgot my husbands coffee and he had to remind them twice. The meals were generous and nice but definately not sensational. I had the salmon which was nicely cooked with a gluggy risotto and an overpowering sauce. It was OK but I wouldn't get it again. The others all seemed to like theirs but no one was singing praises. I did see some other meals and they all looked nice. I guess maybe I just picked badly. I am sure that I will give it another go at some stage.

I visited this hotel for a girls dinner. To start with the carpark was large and easy to park (this is always important). The bistro area was lovely, spacious and light. There was a lot of meal choices and everyone enjoyed their meals. Prices were on par with other hotels/restaurants.
