Tasty pastries, cakes and great coffee. Nice atmosphere on looking such a picturesque part of Hobart - Battery Point. Best ice chocolates in town!

I love the treats this bakery offers. The bread, cakes are lovely and my partner thinks the pies are absolutely delicious. The place smells yummy as soon as you walk in.

Wow! Stunning bakery/cafe one of my favourite places to go. EVER! The food quality is outstanding. Service is always prompt and it is always busy.

The food at Jackman & McRoss is wonderful, especially their fresh breads and oversized lamingtons.
Nice cosy atmosphere in the cafe section.

One of my favourite places for coffee and a sweet treat. Always good quality food, service is friendly and good.

Jackman and McRoss is our favorite place for lunch or a coffee. We always get quick, friendly service and leave with one of their bread loaves - usually the wholemeal high-top under our arm because it's the best bread in town. You can also get Spelt loaves on the weekend.

Never as good as we expect. The food is generally very good, but the service almost always dreadful. Slow, indifferent and poorly trained staff seem to be the norm. For better service try their other branch in New Town.
Surprisingly expensive at both locations.

I agree that you often have to wait to be served but that is because their food is SO good that so many people want it! Their baguettes are to die for.

Great little bakery with 3 locations around Hobart (Battery Point, City and Newtown). The bread is always fresh, crusty and tasty.
They also have delicious dishes to eat in at a reasonable price. Service is always prompt and polite. Couldn't ask for better.

Coffees are fantastic, the food is just amazing - things which should be standard bakery items are given a special twist. This is another place where it's hard to choose what to eat - I love whatever version of a mushroom danish they have going at the time, and the buttermilk raisin loaf (my brother-n-law can be easily bribed with the dark chocolate rocky road which is most definitely not for kids)
