Been going to Laksa King for a few years and its a great value restaurant...if you can get a seat! its always packed, even on weeknights, its not too bad if there's just two of you, but can be hard for a big group to get a table. The best thing to do is call up and order takeaway, then just go pick it up :)

Value for money and great authentic Malaysian cuisine. Staffs are very efficient as many people waiting inline for meals. Overall services is ok whereas food is great!

It is known for their curry laksa. Is authentic and nice. But as a malaysian is not spicy enough for me. I enjoy their chicken rice too. Serving is just nice.

Service is not one of their forte, however the food is always good. USed to be better, but still by far one of the better Malaysian places to eat in Melbourne.
Always busy, which is a good sign!

Went there last time with friends because they heard it served great laksas. The laksa was extremely oily and I spotted a baby feather (from the chicken) in my laksa. It didn't taste as 'great' as my friends have said it did. I don't really see what the fuss is all about. The new manager there regularly goes to TAB (newmarket) and I saw him picking his nose whilst watching the big screen telly. Very unhygienic. Go figure...

Food tastes different from before. I guess they changed chefs. However, the food isn't like "WOW!", it's just ordinary. I would rather go to McDonald's down the road and get twice as much food for the price of one main meal. The waitresses are quite forgetful, but I guess no one's perfect. I've been to the Laksa King at Highpoint, and it's quite nice there. Maybe it's just this particular one...

Always busy, which usually tells you its good. I'd have to say one of the better places to eat. Very cheap and great meals. Complimentary tea with your food. There is usually a 10-15 min wait for a table but its worth it.

Supper yummy and one of the best Laksas's in town. It is also supper cheap. It is normally quite busy so you might have to wait for bit in line, however it is worth the wait. They also do take way which is handy on the way home form work.

Approximate cost: $8
