I have dined once in Laksa King.. and definitely i will dine there again.. I had the laksa and the kang-kung (vegetable) .. The laksa is highly recommended ... Very tasty and served in a big bowl... I received great service from the staff... and Of course - it is value for money!!
I must say this M'sian restaurant is alright, not that great or fantastic. It's located pretty far for people staying in the East or South East. Prices are OK. The food quality is so-so. The laksa and loh bak was a let-down.
Approximate cost: $10-15.00
its always my dinner choice. good food quality. fast service. happy to recommend to all. nice job
I'm a big fan of this place. I've been here a number of times and I am always left happy and satisfied.
I recommend the chilly dumplings and roit for starters and the chicken, seafood or beef laksa.
Approximate cost: $15
For a quick, cheap and tasty eat that will have leave you full and satisfied, I would definitely recommend Laksa King for sure (if you finish your meal before 6-6.30, you get 10% off your meal)
The food comes out minutes after ordering which is always good if you're particularly hungry. The service is a little bit lacking but I wasn't expecting much given how busy the restaurant is.
I've always gone for the laksa but have sampled other things on their menu and loved it. Also love the Asian deserts!
great review ;)
will be trying it whenever i go to melbourne!
Although well known in Melbourne, I regrettably have to say that Laksa King is one of my least favourite laksas.
I have tried many laksas and unfortunately I did not find their stock, noodles and toppings authentic.
The stock was watered down and I honestly did not find it to be authentic (I have had a lot of laksas).
Long lines and I actually do not understand why this is so. Service is fast and similar to what you would expect in any busy restaurant.
Sorry Laksa King - I think you can do better no matter what the price or how busy you can get! Time to raise the bar!
wow this place is sensational. The menu is huge. The service I found fast. The food delicious. The roti rolls are my favorite.
The only problem is it gets really busy. Best to go early or you can be waiting for a while for a table.
Parents take me here for their laksa and I love dipping roti into the broth to eat. The service can sometimes be slow but you can't blame them when they're so busy and food is cooked to order. Definitely need to make a reservation or you'll be waiting for ages for a table.
Approximate cost: $15
I love Laksa, will have to try this place.
BEST laksa in Melbourne, nuff said. Don't think I need to say anything else, everyone I know, know Laksa King serves the best laksa. When I crave for Laksa, only laksa king will satisfy my crave. I've tried so many other laksa places but none could match the flavours of Laksa king. The laksa broth is so rich and full of flavours- all the spices and condiments just mix so well and complimented each other. But laksa aside, this place actually serves one of the best Ipoh Hor fun and char kway teow.
Approximate cost: $15
Have been going here for more than 10years. This place has grown from a 6/8 table place to a huge restaurant and it is still packed. People are still queuing up to eat here. It is not called laksa king for nothing, but do try the chicken ribs rice. The rice is tasty and I had the bak kut teh herbs pork belly (it was a special) and it was amazing.
