I rang Lilydale vet center where I have been attending for well over 15 years. This isn’t the first time I haven’t been happy. This morning my 14 week old puppy had been bitten by something. Her face swollen, in pain and crying and her gums had gone pale. Her lymph gland swollen. My poor puppy very distressed needing medical attention. Shame on me for expecting my vet to see her. Only to be told by a receptionist not a vet nurse that the earliest I could see someone would be nearly 4 hours or 6 hours later. I called another vet and they said bring her down straight away. This is what I expected. And they aren’t an emergency hospital. I expected a better.

Minnie our 14 week pug puppy swallowed a ampoule capsule, so we rushed her to Lilydale Animal Hospital where she was immediately taken into see a vet. The love care and attention she received from all the vets and staff was exceptional. They went late at night to find a pharmacy to purchase a vital drug she needed to save her life. Our words can't express our gratitude and have already recommended someone with a puppy to this exceptional clinic. Thank you all once more for saving our Minnie

Amazing clinic. You can see their love for the work they do.
Our animal swallowed a small stuff toy. Was so distressing. We found this 24 hour clinic and they were amazing from the start.
They explained everything that needed to happen and were lovely when we came to visit our dog as he was there 2 nights.
We got thorough updates and a fabulous discharge appointment to go over everything.
Highly recommend these guys.
Thank you so much for taking care of José

I would not recommend this business. Really shocked that Lilydale Vet Clinic has refused to treat my sick cat further. After 5 months and around $2000, they could have told me when I was there in the morning that they no longer wanted to treat him, then I would have had all day to find somewhere that will put him on a drip and stablise him. I was desperate for help late in the afternoon and they left a rude message with the receptionist to tell me to find somewhere else. I guess their expertise had reached a limit but it would have been more appropriate to have told me in the morning.

Approximate cost: $2000

Thanks for the feedback. Were sorry thats how you perceive our services. We will certainly relook at our processes.
Unfortunately all our vets cant be on duty all the time. Knowing that she wouldnt be available after 3pm on Saturday, our senior vet suggested early Saturday morning to go to the specialists for weekend care. We also contacted you at 2pm to check everything was fine before she left at 3pm. To achieve the best possible outcome for the patient with such a complex ongoing diabetic case, we felt it needed to be handled by vets with appropriate experience, which is why we suggested the referral to the specialist.

Our Staffy-X recently experienced a ruptured gall bladder on a Saturday evening. From the very start Renier and Miranda were the best - caring, understanding, and communicating with us everything that was going on.

After emergency surgery, and 3 weeks of intensive 24-hour care by the team at Lilydale, we have our loved Staffy back at 100% living and loving his life.

Renier and Miranda fought to save our dog as hard as our dog fought to survive, even when the specialist were telling them they were fighting a loosing battle.

We could not have asked for more. We will never hesitate to take our animals back; hopefully we will never need to!

Approximate cost: $3500

Expensive.!!!
Charging a procedural fee of $25 just to get the clipper out to shave to see a bite/puncture on top of a $140 consult fee is crazy expensive.
Im sure a $140 consult fee could cover 1 minute of clipper use to shave a 2cm square.
I dont mind fees etc but some things are a bit much sometimes and just plain money grabbing.

Miranda shows a lot of genuine concern for your pets, fantastic that they are now a 24 hour emergency vet as well. My dog used to play up at the vets and was impossible to examine until I bought him here, Miranda spent time with him and now he doesn't mind going to the vet, and is a well behaved patient.

We stumbled upon Lilydale vet centre after we'd moved to the area and had got a new puppy - we needed puppy classes. I called up fairly late one evening and spoke to the vet himself, and he described their amazing puppy socialisation program - every wednesday for 4 weeks, they look after your puppy from 8.30am till midday (or later, I picked my girl up at 4). The puppies play, get a general checkup, and get washed and dried. All this for MUCH cheaper than regular puppy classes where they don't have any of this service. My pup now enters the vet with a wagging tail, and has had an amazing experience. They are always happy to answer any questions from a paranoid puppy-parent, and are always happy to see her when we go. The rest of the staff are lovely as well, and genuinely seem to care for the animals that walk through the door. I'm really glad we've found this vet, and wouldn't hesitate to entrust our beloved 4-legged friends to their care.
I recently took my older dog for a yearly check and vaccination, and Miranda did SUCH a thorough job! She made sure everything was in order, and this was all filled in on his vaccination card, too, as well as a gorgeous little note saying "Lovely brave dog" (my boy gets quite scared of the vet!). They just make you feel so welcome and looked after.
