I've been looking for a great chinese restaurant for a while and I think I've finally found it. Saw some good reviews for this place and went to try it out; we were pretty early at night on a Tuesday so we were the only ones there, the owner brought out the dishes herself and had a chat to us after the meal as well! They've been there more than 30yrs (the signs still have seven-digit phone numbers!) and they clearly know what they're doing, the food itself was the best chinese I've had in years and well priced to boot. We had chicken & sweet corn soup, spring rolls, fried rice, and sweet and sour chicken, all delicious. Highly recommended, just not the place to bring your 30-person celebration as the couple that own it run it seemingly without other staff. It's not much to look at, but don't be fooled. We'll definitely be going back!

This restaurant is (from memory) located where Ashoka used to be, but is far better than what we ever had from there. Not sure if it's the same people under a different name, or just a coincidence to have two indian restaurants there consecutively. Either way, we picked up a group-buying voucher online to try this place out, and unlike some such deals, they didn't disappoint. Both the food and the service were great, and the mango lassi was the best I've had yet; pricing is about standard with most indian restaurants. Both me and my husband agree that we've found our new favourite indian restaurant, we'll definitely be returning again.

This is the second time now that I've had these guys move my stuff, first into and then out of a third-floor apartment with a very obnoxious stairwell. They've been very quick, friendly and professional both times, and handled my furniture carefully. They're a fraction of the price of the big names (eg/ Minimovers) without the shoddy standard of some smaller ones. Very happy with this small local business, and will definitely look them up again next time I have to move!

Had to go searching in a rush when our carpet cleaners bailed on us the day we were moving out; these guys were able to fit us in at short notice and the cleaner that came out was very friendly and knew what he was doing. Spared us another day's rent waiting for a different cleaner!

Really delicious, probably my favourite ramen shop in Brisbane (now that Ajisen is gone). My fiance had the tonkotsu ramen & I had karaage curry as a lunch special. The better quality ingredients than most places was apparent if not by the taste (Hakataya would rival it here), then by not feeling all sluggish afterwards! The in-house-made noodles were particularly good, you could tell the difference. Definitely worth a visit!

Amazingly delicious ramen, nearly the best I've had in Brisbane (though I think Taro's would still take top spot, and the now-closed Ajisen). I had the char-siu, which was far more than I needed; it was a huge serving. My fiance had a new shio spicy-men, which he didn't stop raving about for days afterwards! Reasonably priced at $13 and $12 respectively. Only a very small place though so if you're going on the weekend be prepared for a wait!

This place is a great butcher's, the staff are super friendly and always up for a laugh! Their products are at the higher end of the scale, so not a cheap butcher, but their stuff is delicious! They also have a full shelf of sauces, seasonings & extras, some of which are extremely hard to find anywhere else (only the second place in Brisbane I've been able to track down pimientos). Highly recommended!

This place is my local regular, the guys are always helpful and up for a chat! Their products are always fresh and they're happy to cut as required, plus they have a range of pre-cut/diced for us lazy sorts (the stir-fry style beef is great). Better quality meat than the grocery stores and even if you're not buying in bulk, they're generally cheaper as well.

For someone who's not a huge fan of mexican cuisine, this place was a stand-out, if for nothing more than the service. We bought one of the group-buying vouchers online to try it out, and from the minute we walked in we were made to feel welcome. It's only a small place, the size of a cafe, with a very homely feel, and the meals certainly aren't expensive. The food was good quality; my fiance, who *is* a fan of mexican, absolutely loved it all. It seems more authentic than most around Brisbane, if you're fond of mexican it's definitely worth checking out!

Hands down best tasting indian I have had in Brisbane; food, naan and even the lassi! Small but pleasantly presented, the upstairs eating area was very nicely set out. Pricing was fairly standard for indian, but I would definitely return again just on the quality of the food.
