Mecca Bah is a great place to visit - if not for the food, for the fantastic views, great atmoshphere and excellent service. The lamb turkish pizza to die for although the other dishes seem to be average. Quite reasonably priced for the ambience and service.

We recently visited Mecca Bah for an early dinner before a concert. The service was friendly and prompt, the view was spectacular, the atmosphere relaxed and the food beautifully presented and delicious as usual. The Lamb Turkish pizza is one of the best meals i have ever eaten. The tender lamb and yoghurt sauce is an absolute stand out. Anyone who dines at Mecca Bah needs to try this.

The food was really good and the service was exceptional. The location of the restaurant allows for quality food and a good time away from the busy hustle and bustle of the city. The location was also very peaceful. Overall very good experience!

Mecca Bah is a nice casual restaurant that I like to dine in with a group of friends. They serve authentic Moroccan food, that really is quite beautiful. The menu is very reasonably price, and the quality of food is up to standard. It is nice to order a few different things and share if you go as a group, so you can try various dishes. We usually have a couple of Tagines, a grill selection and the silverbeet pide (my favorite)

Approximate cost: $15-25

One of my favourite spots waterfront. Interiors are designed beautifully both during the day or at night. Can get quite busy and food is quite good too, though at times when it's really busy quality and speed are a little average. But overall an enjoyable place to dine.

The restaurant is in a beautiful setting, near the water and is lovely to visit during the warmer weather.

The signature dish from what i have gathered after trying a few different items off the menu is the Turkish pizza! I had the lamb kebab and it was dry, chewy and nothing special at all. The starter dish i had was a platter of dips with some Turkish bread. Once again, i have had better, more fresh dips but they still were tasty, however a little on the hard side rather than soft creamy dips which are the norm in Middle Eastern food.

The highlight and the item i will be coming back for is the Turkish Pizza, which was amazing! The dough melted in my mouth, the toppings were tasty and fresh. This is the signature dish of this restaurant and this is what you go and eat here by my opinion.

The location is great - right on the pier waterfront - if you are seat in the right place... there is literally only a pane of glass between you and the water.
That aside, the restaurant is not well built for poor weather conditions, as there is a part in the building wall near the ceiling whether the glass stops and meets a metal grill. When in rains the waiters draw the chiffon curtains to lessen the effect of raindrops coming through the metal grill, but the chill factor is still a concern, if you are seated near the window.
The menu reads well, although serves are rather small and nothing spectacular in creativity or quality (I had a Roast vegetable flavoured with chermoula spices $18.5 - 2/3 of the tagine was just cous cous and the actual stew was rather heavy in oil and spices)

I looked at some of the previous ratings and it seems they had quite a different experience from what me and my gf did. My first impression of the place was that the view and the settings were beautiful. We placed our orders but had to wait quite a long time before our entree was served. There was also such a massive wait between the entree and the main. I remember I ordered lamb kebab and it was less than impressive. It wasn't the explosion of herbs and succulent lamb meat that I had expected. It was dry and tasted burnt as well. I also thought the servings were quite conservative in size. I honestly was a bit underwhelmed by the taste and serving size of the food.

I agree. I had a similar experience with long waits between courses and over-cooked salmon when my main course finally arrived.
