I had a stubborn toilet clog that I couldn't fix myself, so I called Metro for help. Their plumber arrived promptly and tackled the issue with expertise. They were friendly, and courteous, and took the time to explain what caused the clog. I appreciate their dedication to providing excellent service.

Metropolitan fixed my leaking shower. The plumber's expertise and attention to detail were remarkable. The shower works perfectly now. Very satisfied!

Sneaky business that does not have a Google location for reviews, delegates work out to questionable third party contractors. Quick to come out and assess a gas leak at property when no other business available to do so on day. Gas had already been turned off by government agency. Came out day off call, test done, leak found, piece of metal on water system changed costs me $1800 at this point. Reassessment showed ongoing leak. Recommended changing entire gas piping for house "special rate will wipe all charges from today, 24hr service will come out tonight and do it for you, estimated $7.7k". Politely declined, went without hot water for 5 days waiting on another quote and assessment. Quote for same job less than A THIRD OF COST, pre job test showed no leak at all with multiple devices, 2nd opinion saved me big $ for o er priced work not required

Beware high price, ludicrous quotes, pressure tactics and potentially unreliable gas readings. Job had been contracted to local business Mr emergency.

They will absolutely rip you off suggesting new systems and NOT look at what the problem is to simply fix in the first place.
On my breakdown of costs that I requested, I was charged more than $500 per hour in labour.

We called Metropolitan Plumbing when our evaporative cooler stopped working soon after Christmas. The weather was hot. I was happy to pay the call-out fee as we were desperate. Guy came and inspected the unit, and quoted us $4,500 to fix a broken float valve. He recommended we replace the whole cooler unit, and quoted $8,000 for a new cooler. We balked at the money, so didn’t proceed. Then got a more reliable repairman in who fixed the cooler with ONE SCREW! Plus he said our model doesn’t even have a float valve. Have since been quoted less than $3,000 for a new cooler. The business model used by Metropolitan preys on people who are desperate or vulnerable. AVOID them at all costs!

I give Metropolitan Plumbing 1 star because it isn't possible to score them zero. I called them to change over 2 kitchen taps. I supplied the taps - just wanted them to take off old taps and fit new ones. They quoted me $750 dollars. When I told them to go away that is too much they wanted a $150 call out fee for their time. I told them no and they sure as hell didn't get it. They should be paying me a call out fee for wasting my time. I called an independent plumber who was very nice and did the job perfectly for $150. Metropolitan Plumbing are clearly rip off artists who want money for nothing. If they do have any decent plumbers contracting for them I suggest they get out of there before their name is ruined.

I would not recommend this business, paid double what I should have for a new hot water service, then was told we had a gas leak which could cost upwards $7,500 to have fixed. I sought out a second opinion to find there was no issue with our gas pipes etc. Our regulator was removed from our cooktop by Metropolitan plumbing as this was the likely cause of the so called leak. When the second opinion plumber went to hook up my cooktop he found my regulator to have been taken so I needed to buy a new one through him. (at a very reasonable rate).
Only positive was they were very quick to attend the property. I had to chase the receipt for services provided and the compliance note also.

I called Jim plumbing, they gave me this business who charged me a fee for a quote of $6000 to fix my veranda roof leaking. I called another random plumber who fixed the problem only cost me $500.

Today, I didn't know the same people came for quoting my electricity general maintenance. I asked him to give me a list of jobs with cost so I can choose which one to do. He came back in 5 minutes with a total quote of $17K. When I asked how much is one job, he couldn't find the answer and spent 20 minutes searching from his tablet. This is just a scam company to wants to take your money from the quote fees. They may never want to do the job.

Contacted Jim’s Plumbing, paid a $142 call out fee, ended up having Metropolitan Plumbing come out (same company apparently) We get told our hot water service needs replacing which is going to cost $4990 on top of the call out fee. Felt in the spot and with having young kids I didn’t have e an option. Half way through the job I get this feeling like I’m being ripped off, did some research and sure enough I’m being charged over double what I should be. Figure it’s too late now and then am told I have a gas leak and it will cost $7000 to fix. I say can you do me a quote and am told sure but I can’t leave your gas turned out so your brand new hot water service can’t be used until it’s fixed (fair enough, it’s a safety issue) I refuse to go through them again, so am left trying to get quotes.

The plumber himself was amazing, it’s no fault of his. However as a company, the prices are exorbitant and really rely on people to be stuck and put on the spot.
