It's good, it's pubby and it's Irish.
They have the good beer flowing on tap and they do a mean fish and chips.
Plus other great pub classics on top of their own menu items

A group of us celebrated my husband's birthday here. The atmosphere of this pub is wonderful and the dining area is large. My husband and I shared a platter of grilled haloumi with olive tapenade, chicken skewers, salt and pepper pork belly with ciabatta bread and dukkah at a cost of $30. The servings were rather small. Both of us agreed that the pork was the best and the other two tapas were so-so. Others at the table thoroughly enjoyed their chicken schnitzels and beef and guinness pies. I think we made the wrong choice on the day. Everyone ordered dessert. My husband enjoyed his affogato and my white chocolate and raspberry panna cotta with honeycomb was amazing. The day we were there the serving girls did a marvelous job, even though they were short staffed and very busy. They took time to make you feel welcome.
We were there the year before for a birthday celebration and we think it is going to turn into a tradition. Fully recommend.

Approximate cost: $80.0

The food is quite average for the price they charge, which is fine, because it keeps certain 'elements' out. As does the price of a drink. I'm horrified to see little kids all over this pub, as I am from another state, where it is very strictly 18 and up. The restaurant should have a separate entrance for families.

I love the Irish band that play here. And we have seen various bands that range from quite good to really awful.

However... our order has only been right about five times out of the last twenty. And that has been on slow days, as well as busy. There is one guy who has been there a while who still needs to study the taps. You don't always get a full glass of beer. We saw one customer there, who got a small coffee, when her friend paid for a large one - they didn't say anything.

The staff are such nice people but I begin to feel like they couldn't get an order right, or on time, to save their lives. There is only one guy there who can make a real cocktail, so don't bother unless he's there. As for the rest, I don't know any names, but there are a couple of ladies who always get things right, and the rest are, well, ummmm. They have good and bad days.

We have been about fifteen or twenty times in the last two years, and it seems some staff have changed, but it's not the best performance.

The food is super average, though it has seemed better the last five times we've been. It would have been nicer if the order was right!

Personally, I would not look at having a function here as they are not reliable. Some of the younger staff seemed more interested in showing off in front of each other than attending to customers, the last time.

I think it will be a few months before we go back again, as the 'not getting orders right' thing bugs me a bit, and I'm disappointed because I really like the atmosphere. They would absolutely have an extra star or two, if they could be a little more efficient.

Mick O'Shea's is a great Irish pub with comfortable seating, friendly staff, nice food and of course fabulous beer. I recently met up with a couple of workmates for a drink and lunch, we thought we were ordering from the 1/2 price menu but later found we were not. So be careful when you read the menu as not every meal is included. We all enjoyed our steak, was cooked to perfection and the fish and chips looked pretty good aswell.

After my previous attempt at having a meal here, I said I would never return. But a friend was having a birthday get together here so my husband and I could not refuse even though we were not keen on going at all.

I have to say our experience was the absolute opposite to our previous attempt here. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the meals were absolutely delicious, it had a real friendly atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, had a very pleasant evening.

This is a lovely irish pub. i went out for a few drinks with friends and loved it :) The staff served us quickly and were up for a chat when they got the chance. The drinks were well priced. i think the high light of my night was the couches they are so big and comfy ha ha. I have also stayed in their hotel rooms which are nicely sized and furnished. And the nightly room price is excellent .Defiantly recommend this pub.

I've enjoyed myself here quite a few times now, most recent a 40th birthday bash. The Beer Garden gives that great outside feel to the evening, where its a lovely place to sit and just relax with friends over a drink or two. The garden is especially nice in summer, eating outside on a warm night. In winter nothing beats listening to live music around the fire. A warm cosy atmosphere. The dance floor isn't really big, but it definately adds to the cosiness of the place. The meals are really nice and very well priced, even cheaper with half priced lunches on certain days. The staff are great and go out of their way to ensure you have a great night. Its just a great place to meet up with friends and have a casual and enjoyable evening.

I have been here 2 times, once for a wedding and once for a Christmas function, can't complain about the meals or service one let down for me was that the dance floor isn't near where you eat so for the wedding we had to go out to the dance floor to watch the bridal dance, love the garden there very nice

My husband got sick from eating there, when i called them the next day to let them know, they said they would send us vouchers to compensate us. I gave them my details the vouchers never arrived. Meals were overpriced no wonder there was only 3 tables eating there.Very poor customer service would never go back.

Will never go back!!!! My family decided to go here for a lunch as they offered a half price menu and we had driven past so many times, we thought why not. A terrible disappointment, the service was dreadful. We placed our order expecting it would be half price only to be told that there was only a select few that were half price. And of course none of them were of any interest to us. We still placed our order and then waited 25 minutes for it to arrive. The restaurant was not busy, infact there were only another 8 people. When the food did finally arrive it was more on the cool side than hot. No one wants to return anything to the kitchen because you wonder what might happen to it!!!! My husbands oysters were nothing special and I can say the same about the steak. The kids were also unimpressed. I feel we wasted $120 that day. Will never return and would not recommend it!!!!!!! Very expensive.
