I found them to have great service until the time it came for issues with billing and the billing team getting bills wrong. Every time I was transferred to the credit team to which they simply hung up on me. Horrible offshore credit team in Manila.

we were with origin for quite sometime.we had an issue with them in which was never resolved.the staff were rude and unhelpful and our bill rose dramatically 4 times more then what we usually used?

I can not fault the quality of electricity.

I have found Origin to be a difficult business to use though. Each time I have called them I end up being transferred from one person to the next. Which means having to ID myself each time.

I wrote to Origin asking them about possible discounts for pensioners as I am aware they exist. Someone got back to me asking for a few details...............2 months later I haven't heard back form them.

I received a default. I believed I had paid the bill. They had issued 2 separate bills I was told of similar amounts..............Confusing for me. The lady told me it happens all the time!

I would not recommend the company. I have used other provides without a hitch in the past and will be returning to them.

I will not be dealing with these people again.
I was talked into joining a contract with Origin Energy a few years ago in order to get some form of discount on my electricity. When my contract was due to expire they sent me a letter from the Customer Relations Manager telling me they can offer me a great deal, I just needed to contact them so I did. The CALL CENTER guy at the other end of the phone said that he could offer me a maximum of 3% discount (which was less than what I was on) and NO better.
Needless to say I moved suppliers.
Origin then RANG me after I changed suppliers and tried to offer me a better discount (7%) up to 10% with direct debit. I said no, then a few weeks later they sent me a letter telling me they can give me a great deal I just need to ring them. NO THANK YOU, too little too late.

Changed providers after first bill! Over the top $200 more than usual bills with no explanation as to how it would jump this much. Very rude customer service when trying to sort the issue out. The bill did come on time yes but there was no way I was going to pay such a big amount with no explanation of how it could jump this much. Very disappointing!

That is very disappointing to hear that Origin customer service could not take the time to go through your bill with you, what is the point of having a customer service team then?

Well, no one likes bills!!
No surprise, I signed up due to a door knocker, Yes im quite foolish at times!
They bills are never late i guess -_- alwayssss pricey but hey that's all company's isn't it!
Service isn't the best as they never have Australians and i find it hard to understand them, communication is key!

Approximate cost: $EXPENSIVE

My bills with origin are quite high (gas). Everytime I call up they seem quite pushy with offering me "deals" and I have to say no at least 3 times, I would not reccomend this company. I will be switching to a different company.

I recently found myself on the Origin call list for some reason and they would ring and leave messages on my answer machine about 3 times a week for months trying to get me to change over.

I have been a customer for a few years now and they have never disappointed me. The staff are so helpful if I've ever needed an extension and im never waiting long for my call to be answered.

the best electricity company I`ve been with so far, I`ve been with a few different ones over the years - Origin is the best in price/cost, polite and caring workers! a couple of tears ago I needed to replace my hot water system so I got Solar through Origin, as I was a customer I got discounts and was able to pay it off interest free!! :)
