After the passing of our cat, our vet referred us to Pearly Mates. They collected the cat, advised us when she was "in their care" and also when she was ready to be returned to us. She was back with us within 5 days of her passing, delivered home by a lovely man.
The whole experience, whilst very sad, was made easier by this great team who appear to genuinely care.
We received our cat back in a lovely tin (they have many beautiful timber boxes to choose from if you prefer) with a stat dec saying that the ashes were all of her, and her alone.

When Pearly Mates picked up my pet i was given no paperwork so I queried when return date would be.In the late afternoon of the wed-the expected delivery date, i contacted Pearly Mates only to be told it would be another 4days-sat,when i informed them that wasnt suitable as i would be away for the weekend i was told to either make arrangements with a neighbour or my pets remains would be left in the open and exposed area of my frount doorstep. I was informed if I didnt like that then my pet would be sent to me in the mail!!! Completely heartless!!All communication involved lengthy nasty text messages from the owner of Pearly Mates and payment was demanded by bank deposit 48hours prior to pet being returned.My pet was eventually returned the following thurs,and as he walked to my frount door with my pets remains he sang out very cheerfully "he's home"! I found my experience with Pearly Mates very distasteful! I found them to be lovely until they have your pet in their possession to which then any compassion ,understanding or respect goes completely out the window,and they becomes quite heartless, rude and extremely inflexible! I would definately not recommend using Pearly Mates to anyone ever!

its been a week now since my baby girl passed away as i sat there on my bed holding her and crying into her soft fur and telling her i love her and im sorry she soon passed away very fast she had canser and i had to do what was right as the vets left my house i sat on my bed with her it was so hard i then made my way to the front yard where john was waiting quietly for me to finish saying goodbye we put her in his car he covered her over and went on his way i had txt john a few times because i was so emotional and needed some comfort he was and still is very helpfull i dont have her home as yet but i do know shes in great hands and her cremation has been done john has done nothing but contact me when needed and has stayed in touch answered all my questions .
i cant thank him and his daughter enough for what they have done for us to make it easier i recomend them both and i will be using them again one day ty so much once again xxxooo

I rang Jon to arrange the cremation of my beloved Siamese cat, Bandit. From the moment he answered the phone, I knew that this person truly cared about me and my beloved pet. He gently asked me about what had happened and offered his sincerest condolences. He said that "Bandit will be afforded every dignity he deserves." I was truly touched. I told Jon where my vet was located and Jon sent me a text message about an hour later stating "Bandit is now in my care, Christine." I openly wept. This seemingly simple gesture touched me to the core and I knew that I had found a very special person in Jon. He really does care about his clients and the animals he deals with, and goes that extra mile with his wonderfully caring, compassionate personality. He even personally delivered Bandit's ashes to my home over Easter.

I have no hesitation in highly recommending Jon and Pearly Mates

The service provided by Pearly Mates is second to none. Jon is genuinely caring in every aspect and treats both the client and their pet with utmost respect from the word go. The urn is tailor made using your choice of native or exotic timber and a plaque with the client's own epitaph. I cannot recommend this company enough.

i found pearly mates when one of my dog's was very sick i rang and spoke to Jonathon who was lovely, and got details and costs for when the time came to say good bye to my old friend, jon made it easy to deal with and when i lost my other dog recently he was the first person i spoke to again he dealt with everything in a capable and compassionate manner....a really nice guy with a very detailed website
