I really love the Hot springs. I wish that I lived closer so that I could enjoy the baths more often. My massage was amazing and I really enjoy being able to sit back and relax in their waiting room before the treatments. I was able to have a couples massage with my husband. It is great to be able to share such a great experiance

The massage was lovely, not ourstanding but nice. The hotsprings on the other hand for awful. I love a bath, but this felt like I was sitting in a yucky spa, it wasnt the cleanest either. Of the four of us that went there, 3 were sick following using the hotsprings - not going back after that

I had the luxury of indulging in a salt scrub plus massage and it was absolute heaven! The staff are so welcoming and helpful and treat you like you are someone special! Everything from the fluffy robes, free herbal tea before your treatment to the ambiance of the outdoor bathing area is world class. They have lots of different pools set at differing temperatures and they even cater for families and young children.

They offer heated mineral pools at varying degrees of heat all the way up to 40degrees. They also offer facials and a sauna. Their facilities are currently being expanded. The staff are constantly checking that the pool temperatures are correct. It's such a relaxing treat.

After accidentally walking into a private area due to the bad lighting and no roping off area, they then threatened to have us escorted off the premises. It was our anniversary and they ruined our whole night. I made a complaint to the receptionist and also wrote a letter of complaint to recieve nothing in return. Oh and once you get on their mailing list they dont take you off. I WILL NEVER RETURN AND HAVE TOLD ALL MY FRIENDS ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED

Approximate cost: $240.00

We went for Breakfast & Bathe package and it was a perfect start to a girl's day out. The baths weren't crowded at all in the morning and there were enough pools there that kept us going all morning until breakfast. Breakfast was delicious, and a complimentary special juice of your choice. Would definitely go back there when the weather becomes cooler.

Approximate cost: $50

Very disappointed with new PUBLIC bathing section. As longtime public bath user, felt excluded by their new 2-class system where you are cut off from using the original spa section which I agree had a great atmosphere and this truly authentic Japanese spa feeling to it. They said they were extending but this is "aqua partheid"!! There was no mention of keeping this huge fence running down the middle.
By the way, where has all the water gone? Water levels seem to have dropped and there was a significant oily film present today. What happenend to compulsory showering? Has this place gone down the drain?

Doris...maybe you did not understand the reasoning behind the 2 bathing areas. The new area caters for children. It is for this reason that they are separate, so that clients who wish not to be involved in the 'family atmosphere' don't have to. It seems to me that they are doing their best to accommodate everyone. The original area is slightly more expensive, but worth every cent for those wishing to completely lose themselves in the incredible ambiance that the Hot Springs has created... as for showering there are showers almost everywhere for the clients to use before bathing and besides, who wants the job of inspecting everyone as they leave the change rooms to ensured they have showered?

We just used the public pools which are lovely, and smell divine and natural! There are 5 pools including a cold water plunge pool, and the rest are warm. The atmosphere and natural surroundings are superb. We went in peak season and found it not too bad people wise. The main pool was very busy and the littler ones not so bad. Would love to try a twilight swim!!

Approximate cost: $30 per person

Beautiful place - you really feel pampered and special. I loved the private spas and the couples massage was fantastic. One of the best places to treat yourself.

This is where you'd go for a serious pampering session or relaxation. Though a little pricey, the massages are superb and have a wonderful ambience in the rooms. IT'S THE BEST IN WINTER! The pools themselves have the natural springs smell. Go right up the back (up the hill) and find the small pool with the hotter temp of 41 - 42 deg C. Even in the winter it's hard to stay in longer than 10mins!

I have visited the Hot Springs several times and will always continue to do so. I've read some of the other reviews and people complain that it is too busy etc. well HELLO it is a very popular place, it's not THEIR fault it's busy. So here's a tip: visit during off peak hours, definitely not weekends (I know it can be difficult if you work full time, but the whole point is to relax and of course you can't relax if there's people everywhere ), and if you're making a booking for a special occasion eg. Valentine's Day, postpone it and do it another day!
I highly recommend twilight bathing, because it is awesome relaxing under the stars and it is normally not very busy. Also, I went and had a private bath with my boyfriend and it was AMAZING! The only problem is that it was extremely, extremely hot (obviously not their fault) so I only recommend it to people who can handle very hot baths. I found the service was very good, with polite and friendly staff who add to the relaxing experience. One highlight was the relaxation room (a private area you visit before entering the private pools), which was complete with the comfiest chairs and all kinds of herbal tea - it was a nice little surprise to find before we entered our private pool. My advice: go and see how awesome the hot springs are for yourself!!!

It is their problem if they are busy..if you are promoting your business as a peaceful, relaxing place to visit....you do not overbook spots and staff should be courteous and professional...not rude and cut your own time to squeeze in more people!!!!!!
