Tea and cakes. Yes this is the place to go. It has a very classic but upmarket feel. Not really value for money, but a sort of indulgence of traditional elegance. The real indulgence is the high tea.

I went there for a girl friend's birthday and I really enjoyed it. It's a small cozy set up but beautifully presented. My favourite is not the cakes but their teas. Price is not cheap but it's good for the special occasions.

We have tried High Tea at almost everywhere in Brisbane now and Queenies is still number 1 for quality and value. I have been to Queenies 5 or 6 times now and yes, the portions have gotten smaller but the quality is as good or better than the fancy city places. I like how you get your own pot of tea and loads of jam and cream for the scones.

Approximate cost: $35

I recently went here with a girlfriend to catch up and enjoy a high tea. We had a lovely time and we were delighted by the great customer service and our lovely high tea with a large variety of different items on offer to eat. It was also great to have a pot of tea included in our high tea. Well Done.

Approximate cost: $40.00

I have been a regular, loyal customer of Queenies (nundah) for over five years now. There is something very special about the place that keeps me coming back time and again. The tea house itself is small and cozy with grand chandeliers and some of the best music playing in the back ground.. (Ella Fitzgerald, I love her!) I have always been a high tea fan and I have tried all of the high tea stands in the years that I have been a customer. Recently I have also been having the soups and I can't tell you enough how good ALL the food is. I normally can't go past the sticky date pudding as its my all time fave but on my last visit I tried the lemon syrup cake and the risk of trying something new certainly paid off, IT WAS UNBELIEVABLE!! I am french earl grey lover and I can tell you you will NOT find a better blend than at QUEENIES...When I went overseas for almost two years I came back only to have the manager remember my name and asked me how my time overseas was.. The service is personal and friendly and I always end up having a great chat with the staff...In an age where personal service is a dinosaur I give a HUGE THUMBS up to Queenies for never selling out, and for always making my experience there a memorable (and tasty) one!

Approximate cost: $20

I used to absolutely adore Queenies on Racecourse Rd. So I expected Nundah Queenies to be great. It is not. I have tried four times now over the last two years (as I am a local and ever optimistic) and it has got steadily worse each time. The tea is still good and the food is OK but over-priced. The service has got steadily worse. We were turned away once on a weekday afternoon for a cup of tea and cake - not a meal - because they said they were closing in 20 minutes. This is silly and not good service. It would be great for Nundah if Queenies lifted their game to the exquisite food and warm, olde worlde service that years ago was the norm for the Racecourse Rd Queenies.

This place is great. But dont take your kids if they are very active and wont sit still. I love having a pot of tea and a passionfruit or chocolate cake here but I once made the mistake of taking my very active toddler - the staff weren't too happy, there are lots of breakables and even naked flames - a teapot-shaped tea-light candle arrangement. Not great around little kids!

The best tea in brisbane. fantastic cakes too. not cheap but a great place for something special.

Traditional old fashioned good quality High tea! Lovely atmosphere, very charming. Staff are always friendly and passionate about their tea. The owners Julie and Con always make you feel very welcome. We love going to Queenies, it's always a lovely ladies or gents day out! Queenie's is in a classy world of her own!

Queenies is a very English inspired tea house that specialises in high teas.

They sell a large range of leaf tea, and serve scones and sweet treats as well as main meals.

They have limited sitting times though, but I suspect that is necessary because the general public probably doesn't have time to have a relaxing tea and scones experience on weekdays.
