I don't usually leave reviews but I was so happy with the result and whole experience, I have to shout it from the roof tops.
From being so wonderfully accommodated from the beginning, making an extremely last minute appointment ( thanks Ange).
From the moment you walk into the salon, you are made to feel a million dollars. I was greeted warmly by all staff and the DeXta the Salon mascot... Alicia my stylist was engaged, understanding and really listened to my wants/needs, but also offered great input and opinion when needed.
All staff, were helpful and seemed to work a a team.
During the service the application of colour was precise, gentle and the scalp massage was to die for.
The end result was quite literally a "sunrise", Greys gone and pinky,peach ends galore. Hair was not over styled or product laden, just right! I wish I could post before and after pics. My hair was revolting, dry frizzy and neglected. Now its vibrant, soft and really healthy.
I truly have never been this happy after a haircut. I can't wait to go back!

Samuel and the staff are professional, have a lovely, fun attitude, and are experts at cutting, colouring and styling hair. I have thick frizzy hair and limited time to maintain it with a 15mth-old running around. Samuel has done an amazing job to work with all that! I've had a terrible year, it's been pretty rough and my hair's been problematic for so long I've been avoiding dealing with it. I liked Respekt's pun signage so bit the bullet. The lady at the counter was lovely, and her wash and head massage were perfect! Given how anxious I was this was a great way to start. Samuel asked me what I was after and ran though suggestions based on images I brought in re; what would work for me. He talked me through each step and checked with me as he went through the cut and styling. I love it! I haven't found a hairdresser who gets my hair so well in close to a decade. Thank you, Respekt and Samuel, from someone in a pretty fragile space who ended up having a great day. :)

Julia reminded me this week that I have been coming to Respekt for 6 years!! Julia is the hair dresser who cuts your hair exactly as you want!! The team are always delightful, fun and professional with a unique style and a laugh. Love and thanks everyone!!

I went into Respekt yesterday to have a cut and colour. I hadn't made an appointment and the lady who greeted me was very accommodating and was able to shuffle some things around to fit me in.

When I arrived for my appointment I was quite vague about what I wanted and Samuel with the help of his iPad was able to provide some great guidance and advice, not just relating to colour and style but also enquiring into my existing hair care routine and best results going forward. Unlike some salons I've been to Samuel offered fantastic insight without the usual feel that I was just being pushed into products.

When we found what I was looking for we began and process was relaxing and efficient without ever feeling rushed and the staff were all really attentive offering refreshments on several occasions. Samuel advised me of the price range which I found very reasonable and he also made a point to ask me if I had any particular time frame that he needed to work with or anywhere I had to be, this was a first for me and I found it extremely helpful as sometimes you don't have a clue how long things are likely to take.

We rinsed and I received a wonderful head massage while Samuel asked how I would like my hair styled upon completion. I can't say enough what a refreshing change it made that Samuel despite it being close to closing time on a Saturday afternoon, was enthusiastic and maintained a genuine excitement in his work. He had impeccable attention to detail and a real passion for what he did.

As he styled my hair I noted how nice it was that whilst maintaining professionalism all the staff seemed to be good friends and genuinely really happy to be there. All that being said at the end of the day the hair is what I was there for and I was thrilled to say I don't think I have ever been so delighted with the outcome, I honestly couldn't fault the hair, the staff, the atmosphere or the cost.

I highly recommend both Samuel and Respekt to anyone looking for a good salon!

Emma has been cutting my hair for a few years now and I've always had great comments on my cut and colour. I first visited the salon after asking a stranger where she got her haircut done. Absolutely love this place! I ended up going in by chance one day when I first moved to melbourne 5 years ago, have been going there since. Emma is fanstastic and my favourite hair dresser I've ever had, she always listens to what you want and always manages to produce exactly what I had in mind. I decided to go to RespeKt You Hair 'cause i liked their logo, not sure what I'd be in for, but expecting to pay a fortune. Everyone was really friendly, the coffee was good and I walked out of there, happy with the cut and the price. So, that was more than two years ago. Emma has been cutting my hair eva since, we've tried different things and it's always come up smelling roses (and sometimes peppermint). Usually, I don't like getting products pushed in my direction, however, I always felt Emma was just trying to help - no obligation. And it never gets old, having everyone say hello and goodbye. I live across town now, but still make my way to Windsor (not far from train station). Emma's a delight and a wizard with the scissors. Blitz'n it.

Have been seeing Emma at Respect Your Hair for the past few years now and find the service great! Much different to other hairdressers in that this place is really chilled out and Emma and the others just get it. You don't have to do too much explaining, the results are great and so is the price. It's also the best blow wave I have ever had if you are looking for something other than a cut or colour.

When you walk into Respekt your hair you are greeted as a friend. The team members walk you through what they are going to do and are contstantly making sure you are happy with what you've got.

I've been going there for years. I always get what I want. Julia can make new suggestions to do something a bit different to my usual style. I buy their hair products too - all excellent. All the team are great, particularly the dog :-)

I am not a hairdresser, but when I say to Julia what I would like done to my hair she actually listens to me and can work out what I want which is a excellent skill in a hairdresser. Julia and Ange run a professional and relaxed salon, and their team are warm and friendly making my every 6 week appointment one to remember every time I go. Give them a go as you will not be disappointed. I have been going to hairdressers since I was 16 I am now 50 lived in this area for 20 years and been to may salons, I have been with Julia since she has been opened and I will tell you she will be my only hairdresser for ever. Julia you are the best hairdresser.
