If you want to buy a pet this place is definetly the place to go to give a pet a second chance at life. Adoption prices are very reasonable. Vet service is also great. There is an extra fee if you visit the vet on the weekend. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

We found a cat in our backyard. It was malnourished and clearly lost or dumped. We took it to the RSPCA. They checked her out thoroughly and gave us the option of adopting her or them finding her a good home(she wasn't microchipped). They really did care, making sure that if we took her home, that we would have the skills to care for her. They did not pressure us to adopt her, but left the choice to us. A very positive experience.

I adopted my cat from RSPCA Burwood. I urge anyone looking to add a pet to their family to adopt from RSPCA. All the animals are health checked, desexed, microchipped.
I also buy my Xmas cards & calanders there. They have an excellent range of pet food, toys, beds, everything you need for your pet and your purchase helps RSPCA help all animals.

I did the class for recently adopted dogs, and it was great. Very informative, very personal and the lady was a fountain of knowledge.

With so many great reviews and the RSPCA standing for great things it made sense to use their vet service. Unfortunately our visit was not a good one. First visit with our new 3 month old kitten (first pet) and we had a grad nurse. She shot the vaccine straight through our kittens skin and out the other side and didn't say a word. When she finished and noticed fluid on the bench she queried if he'd wee'd. We explained that was the vaccine and she looked uncomfortable. She held the vial, observed the fluid and said most of it went in so it's fine. The RSPCA also did not stock the same vaccine (4) as he was previously given at the shelter he was adopted from. After this visit we went back to the shelter where they vaccinated him again.

I have also attended the adoption centre a few years ago with a friend where staff proceeded to convince her she was not ready for another pet (having lost her dog recently) so she went to a pet store - no questions asked. I get that the RSPCA want only good homes, but she was a good home and a pet in need missed out and her money instead funded the awful institution that is pet-shop puppy farming. Interrogation does not rehome pets and the RSPCA kill the pets that don't find homes.

I would only go back to RSPCA in an emergency and only on requesting a very experienced vet. Super unimpressed.

I am sorry to hear of your bad experience. Don't let that put you off. Next visit ask for a more experienced Vet. I have Vets I prefer to others too.

I want to be thankful that this RSPCA exists to help animals. I found my lost dog here and they help was great, greatly apreciated. I hope this place continues on to help animals big and small.

Price is low, service is good. We bring our cats to them every year for vaccination. Because of our cats are always difficult with worming tablets, we also get the worming tablets from them. the tablets are smaller than those sold in supermarkets. The staff is friendly and was awesome when one of our cat injured his eye. The shelter is nice for some cuddling session too!

Not many options for money hungry Xmas tree vendors in Dec, but the guys selling trees from the RSPCA are good value and give a bit to charity.
Scouts are the only other option unless you wanna pay $20 a foot.

Approximate cost: $40

My partner and I are very happy with this veterinary service. The vet's are professional and knowledgeable. They are also well priced which surprised me for the services they provided us on our visits.

We go here for all our veterinarian services. It's a great place with lots of friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely recommend for my friends pets too.
