Awesome place! They recently renovated and it looks so much better. It can be a bit crowded but there are little areas that you can take a breather in and get away from the strollers. Everything looked fresh and clean. The gift shop is surprisingly not too overpriced - I got a small stuffed animal for around $5.00. The best deal is to get the attraction packs, with multiple tickets to other attractions for a lower price. Its even cheaper to buy them online, and you don't even have to print the ticket!

Wow what an amazing place to take the family, I took my daughter here for her birthday this year and it was amazing, there were so many wonderful animals to see, we even went on the glass bottom boat. Wow what an experience we got to feed the fish off the boat and even got to name a fish, was one of the best family outing we have been on.

We went to Sydney on a Day trip earlier this year and we decided to take the children to Sydney Aquarium as it was one of the perfect tourist places to go (we couldn't go to Taronga zoo as it was pouring with rain!) It was very busy the day we went but that didn't stop us from learning about the different creatures they had there. My highlight was seeing Dugongs!! They had 2 beautiful dugongs there and they were amazing to watch! The set up was very pretty and very inviting for not only children but for adults too. The only thing I didn't like was the fact they had a lack of parents rooms and no microwave to heat up baby bottles as I had my 4 month old baby with me as well as my 4 year old. We experienced a small boat trip on top of the shark tank which scared the life out of me!! Thank goodness none of the sharks got too close otherwise I would of been running on top of the water to get out of there! I definite must see when in Darling Harbour.

This is one of the best aquariums I have been to. There is such a wide variety of displays and lots of interactive stations if you want more information. There are some talks on which are quite good, and activities if you have children. It is a bit pricey but if you book online beforehand it is a lot cheaper than at the door.

Approximate cost: $28-38

One of the best parts is where you can actually touch some of the sea creatures.

the entry fee is high, however there are always specials on to view wildlife park as well as the aquarium etc, which are better value for money. the aquarium has a lot of animals and there is no time limit on your visit and u can revisit any part of the aquarium as many times as you want. this is great experience for everyone of all ages.

At first I thought admission prices were a bit expensive, but we had a voucher for buy one get one free, and they have a lot of deals so its not too bad. I love it here, it is set out great so you see everythig without having to backtrack. I miss the seals being there but still love walking under the sharks and seeing the dugong is great too. A must for families with kids!

We visited here with our children and loved it. It's exciting to see all the creatures swimming around right there in front of you. There is a photo opportunity where we sat on something inanimate but when you saw the photo the whole family was sitting on a gigantic turtle swimming in the water. Very cute! My youngest wants to go back already!

The Sydney Aquarium is so lovely to go to- I totally agree I love the swimming turtle photo that you can get! It's amazing how long one can spend looking at fish!

My relatives came to Sydney from overseas. I took them to the Sydney Aquarium for half a day and they loved it, especially the kids. They have a little pool section where we get to dip our hands into the water and hold the star fish etc. and the tunnel which we get can through was amazing, seeing the gigantic sharks swimming above us. I love the polar bear which is so white and fluffy, it was so close right next to the clear window which we feel so close to it. Highly recommended place for a fun day out.

Went here a few years ago with my family for a day out. Found is to be very very exciting and different. The range of fish, sharks, rays ect was outstanding and out of this world!.

Would be a good day out with the family, we had so much fun. Prices are good, very fair. They have a really nice gift shop too..full of goodies.

If you are comming from newcastle or central coast i recommend just catching a train down, save on parking and stress!

I will be planning to visit again soon.
