One of the best attractions in Sydney. I came here on a public holiday and it was jam packed. Waited almost an hour in line but it was worth the wait. There are amazing creatures on display ranging from native wildlife such as the platypus to the more exotic dugongs and grey nurse sharks. The underwater tunnels are mesmerising. It's probably best to go on a weekday if you want to avoid the crowds. You could probably spend a few hours because its a very large exhibit with plenty to see.
I think this is a great place to go with a friend. The best part is when you go through the tunnel and you can see the fish swim above and around you. I had a 2 for 1 voucher from the Entertainment book, which made it more affordable for my friend and I.
Thanks for that information.
Agree, fantastic place to visit. You could spend hours here.
Only thing to improve: more jellyfish with lights!
Excelllent place to take kids ,they get so excited and love the huge sharks swimming above thier heads. Great experiences touching and feeling all sorts of sea life. So much to see and do.
Great place to take family from inter-state. Took my family from Queensland and they loved it. It is a little expensive but in all it is value for money. Try and go on a weekday as the weekends get very busy
Have taken the kids here, they loved it
very clean and great presentation, staff nicely dressed
reasonable prices, good central place, always busy
Approximate cost: $52.00
Love the aquarium.
Usually a good place to take a tourist friend.
It's not as exciting for me anymore that I've been here a dozen and a half times.
Great venue to visit as a family or to take a tourist friend.
This is great. I'm coming here with someone from the US in January. I'm sure they'll love it.
Thoroughly enjoyed spending time here with my children and grandchildren. The cousins had a ball and smallest one kept the older ones busy. Such a variety of fish occupied them for a long time. One of the older ones was scared in the tunnel though. It is a fascinating place. We also had a quick lunch there before catching the ferry back to where we were staying. This is a place not to be missed.
Really enjoyed watching them explore the tropical fish touch tank with the variety of colourful fish. The penguins were fascinating too.
The only downside was the parents room for changing babies. It was very cramped and smelly.
affordable, kids loved it. loved the sharks, scared the hell out of me, but the kids loved them, wide aray of animals even hands on tanks which were awsome.
Approximate cost: $75
Ooooh, hands on tanks!
The aquarium here is one of the best I've ever been to- the tunnel in which you can see all the sting rays and sharks provides an amazing experience and a great place for a day out.
I agree, one of the 'best' attractions. Simply just love it.
A great place to spend a rainy day with kids. The aquarium is going through a restructuring at the moment and is due to open new exhibits in next few months.
The best thing are combo tickets - Sydney Aquarium, Wildlife, Manly Oceanworld, Centre point, Madame Tussauds
Approximate cost: $65 for a combo
