Woo-hoo! Soul Mama is a great place for a meal. Not being vegetarian myself I was reluctant to go to this Vegetarian meals only cafe'. Man oh man, I never realized that veggies could do the things they did. Its only $15 and you choose 5 things from the buffet menu. Not bad for a spot literally right on the beach, with really tasty, healthy food.

I completely dis-agree with the staff not being attentive, friendly and serving. You could have a chat with them and they made you feel very welcome.

Soul Mama is an excellent place for a meal and I am wanting to host a function this year there also!

I found the staff to be disinterested and they seemed to be rushing us to finish so they could bring in other customers. I was also dissapointed in the quality of the food and found it to be quite bland. The view is nice if you get a seat near the window.

Last weekend was the second time i went to soul mamas. I didn't remember the food being this good. I enjoyed the style set up and the look of the place. Most of the service was good, aside from the table. Which was located directly into the entrance. We requested a new table which wasn't given and we also weren't notified that our request wasn't met.
The food was really good. I found it a little too much and i didn't have enough room for puddings, which is extremely unlike me!

Going here was always great, we also have recommended and taken so many friends. It's getting more expensive, I'm sure that to fund their sister estaurant that is failing in the city. Now the food is always spicy and I hate spicy food. I hate even more when you ask if it's spicy and your told no and it is.I would think that when you complain about something a few times that you would at least get a reply e-mail. I have stopped going and have not taken or recommended anyone for at least a year. I have been told it's gotten quieter..who knows. Very dissapointed as this used to be my favourite place.

Very nice food with a excellent view of the Bay. Experience can vary from visit to visit - if it is busy it can be difficult to hear conversations, but on a quieter day it is a great venue to enjoy some excellent food.

Not bad for Vegetarian food!

I'm certainly not a Vegetarian by any stretch of the imagination. I love a big rack of ribs with BBQ sauce, but I was dragged along to Soul Mama when a friend had a get together there. I was pleasantly surprised by the tastiness of the food and the variety. It is basically a buffet so you can try heaps of different dishes from curries to steamed veggies. We went there for lunch so I'm not sure if they also have an Ala-carte menu for dinner.
