My partner and I go to the Ballarat Steakhouse all the time. We love it. The service is great and it's the only place in Ballarat I'll eat steak. It's always cooked to perfection and their baste is amazing! Highly recommend it to everyone.

Lucky us, our office is about 5 minutes away from the Steakhouse. When our boss has some good news, we always go there for lunch. The burgers are my favorite, tasty, huge and good price. The steaks and ribs were fantastic as well. Nice place to have a good meal. Very friendly staff.

I am a regular diner at the Ballarat Steakhouse and attend with my two somewhat fussy daughters. They both love the steak here and we have never had a bad steak. Service is occasionally best described as hap hazard at times with multiple staff doing different things which just feels a little clunky at times. I am of the opinion that it is the best cooked steak in Ballarat.

The Ballarat Steak House has, quite possibly, the best steak in Ballarat. While service could be looked at a little, the quality of the steaks are fantastic.

I think this place has quite possible the best steak in the whole of Ballarat, lovely meals everytime and is a pleasure to go and relax and enjoy meal in. friendly staff that make the meal even more enjoyable.

Meals were good, my steak was cooked perfectly although I was surprised that salad/veggies didn't come with steak and chips??? By the time you paid for drinks, sauce, salads it worked out to be quite expensive so wouldn't make a habit of going back.
Overall, good atmosphere, great place to catch up with people but my biggest disappointment was my first steak choice was all gone and I had to pick a different cut. For a steak house this is pretty average form.

Didn't look much from outside, but the food and service were excellent. Got to meet the owner and she was very confident that she has the best ribs - She was right! She is right to stand behind her produce.
My partner had a steak and it was perfectly cooked also. This is an absolutely must try steakhouse. Disappointed we didn't get to try her new Japanese restaurant before leaving town. Best of luck in your future Nikki & John. (Gold Coast)

Steak was cooked to perfection, meals came out quickly, staff were very friendly and hosting, restaurant was clean. Only negative it is very noisy when it starts to fill up. This was our first time at Ballarat Steakhouse and after reading previous reviews have been reluctant until now. My husband and I are glad we trusted our guts, best steak I have had for years!!!!

We dined here about a year ago and although the steak was cooked to perfection, melt in your mouth, absolutely delicious in the marinade alone without any of the special sauces, we havnt been back due to the poor service. It was very slow getting the main meal, but we expected it takes time to cook a good steak to perfection and we werent in any hurry, but it was also painfully slow getting the drinks we ordered, we had to remind staff we were still waiting - more than once. But even worse when we ordered coffee after our meal they said unfortunately they had run out of milk!! It was 10pm on a Saturday night and they seemed in a hurry to get everyone out. I commented that there was a Coles and Safeway just across the road maybe someone could run over and get milk - they laughed and walked away. I found the atmosphere and decor a little plain and boring also in the back room - it doubles as a conference hire room. For the price paid I would expect good service as well as good food.
