Beautiful location for a restaurant - sitting there looking over the sea. I haven't been thrilled with the food or service. Not particularly friendly or anything particularly interesting menu wise. But I have returned for the whole experience and also lack of other good restaurants in the area. If you don't want to go far, go to Waves

Food is average in quality and above average in price. As one of a party of nine not related, the establishment refused to split the bill which made paying difficult and were quite rude about it. We continue to move to a cashless society and many of us use cards for many things, I use cards for most transactions. The establishment was about third full for Saturday lunch. Can they really afford to be so rigid? I would not encourage us to meet at Waves on the Beach again. A previous meeting with the group of ladies I was with totaled 35 people and bill splitting was not a problem. That's the type of restaurant we should patronize in the future, that is an establishment happy to have our business and not make it difficult to settle the bill.

I went here with my family and it wasn't overly busy, we sat out on the decking amongst other people. The view and the sun was nice we waited 20 minutes for our orders to be taken and then over an hour for our food. We asked several times for updates and they said it was coming. When it came out it was cold and poorly presented. We ate and quickly left, never to return. Rude staff, poor service and cold food.

Amazing night out for my mother's 60th birthday. The views are beautiful, food amazing & service friendly. Everyone on the table of 16 couldn't believe how tasty the food was. They also commented on the generous size. Real value for money. We will be back.

We had a lovely waitress serving us. She had moved to the area from USA and she couldn't be any more attentive. She made our night a really lovely experience for my special date. Food was great and we were quite happy with the final bill as we didn't hold back and indulged on quite a bit of food, wine and champagne!

Lovely location with great views. A little bit of extra care and attention from all staff could have made the experience fantastic.

We went for our anniversary and had an enjoyable time, however the small things like, food stuck to my knife, fish overcooked and dry and the wait staff a little slow to take orders, clear plates etc.
Overall the experience was ok, food well presented and a really nice setting. Huge potential for the business to be thriving with some extra attention to detail.

my mind boggles,as to why out of nine out 10 visits the balcony with the view and outside option has been closed.
A little wind doesn't hurt anyone.very curt young rude wait person, said to me,too windy!!!
rubbish, and I have a diploma in weather patterns etc.Made to sit inside with the sun burning my face and a very crowded dining room, that could have been less crowded if the balcony was sitting meals.Asked to move to a table of four and was told it was booked out,no one ever turned up.
Music overhead piped throughout was simply annoying also.
this location has a wonderful view, and I have experienced the joy of the balcony, once!
Not once has a wait person offered the vegan or gluten free menus.
The seafood basket was simply too flash fried and too oily
Coffee was nice and dessert selection a little on the boring side,(cafe style)
Shame pineapple juice wasnt available.
Shall return for for the view, and other menu items are nice, cappucino was good also.

Dined with a group of 10 on a Friday night. Took 15mins to get asked if we'd like drinks. Then another 15mins before ordering. Took almost an hour to receive meals. My meal was not very nice, dry and lacked flavour, other meals were ok but not brilliant. The service was terrible. Our orders were taken by shouting across the table and because we were at the end of the table we were ignorged by staff for drink orders and clearing of the plates. The only good thing about Waves on the beach is the view from inside looking out to the beach.

We went here on a deal, and were looked after pretty well. The meal was lovely, and cooked perfectly, so no complaints on that front. The service was adequate, nothing extraordinary. The venue itself was quite loud, which was surprising, and the young children running wild, although not the fault of the venue, was a downside. We'd head back there if we were in the area, but not in a rush.

The view is great. The sizes of the meals are larger than what I would expect and tasted very good. The waiter you could tell was inexperienced, she served people that came in after us and we had to asked to be served. But hey everyone has to learn. Relaxed place to have lunch.
