We go there every time we are in Melbourne. I especially like the roof top bar. They have a huge selection of ciders and the service is good and friendly. They have a good assortment of yummy tapas as well. A great atmosphere.

Ok place and staff can be a bit hit and miss so your experience depends on what staff you have serve/interact with you. Food/snacks are fine and so to drinks at the bar but nothing stands out for me here and last time the security staff gave me the run around and were rude when I attempted to go up to the beer garden upstairs for no reason I could see except they were busy that night.

I went here the other night as it was a meeting spot with a group of friends. Its is in a great location - right opposite Flinders St Station.
Its a cool pub and perfect if you want to watch the footy or rugby. Always seems to be busy and mixed crowd.
I must say the service has been terrible when I have been there. Not enough bar staff so of course you spend your time waiting to be served.
Drinks are normally priced. Wouldnt be my choice for a night out but great for a couple of beers.

only went here coz it was one of the few places open on a late monday night, ended up having cider which wasn't too shabby but could only stay at bottom floor since the rooftop was closed by then, staff were in a bit of a hurry to get rid of us (which i guess was understandable given that it was a bit late) so from this didn't have the most enjoyable experience

If you feel like a drink with a difference, climb the two storeys up to the rooftop bar at the Young & Jackson pub. It's small but really nice on a sunny day. Great choice of ciders too!

Definitely a Melbourne icon and so we took our friends visiting from interstate to this venue for a drink whilst taking them sightseeing around the CBD.

Our friends enjoyed the time spent there and commented on how lovely it was

Super iconic place to have a beer, and probably the best and most convenient location for a traveller to have a refreshing ale in Melbourne

Y&J's is one of those Melbourne institutions that you cant help but love. Good number of spaces to have a drink, including a roof top cider and beer bar for the smokers (if smoking is your thing). Very well appointed and always well staffed.

We only stopped in for drinks - what a beautiful hotel. The bars are inviting and comfortable. Chloe's Bar is quite luxurious although a little snooty.

Great place for a beer after work. It helps being next to Flinders street station. Friendly service and staff.
