This review is for Hog's Breath Cafe, Bakery Hill VIC

Was a bit tipsy after a quiet one or two across the road, went to Hogs Breath expecting a great feed and was pretty impressed with the size of the meal, the ribs were cooked pretty well but dissapointed with the service and cost. There was only the owner and two trainee waiters in the place so it was agonising to wait so long to have our order taken and be served. They made good money from the group I was with but I don't know we will rush back to the establishment.

Have eaten at the Phoenix Brewery a couple of times, was told to try the eye fillet. It was amazing! Medium rare, first time in a bed of veges and the next it came with veges and scalloped potatoes. Cooked to perfection and the rest of the menu looks good. The tapas are also very nice.

I go to this cinema quite often, I am also a Regent Multiplex member. This means I receive a different offer each week which is usually a 2 for one voucher for any session for a particular movie each week or an upgrade at the candy bar. Cinema 1 is the pick of the lot (haven't been to Gold Class). It is a massive old theatre.

There are two shops in Ballarat, I have only been to the one in the Mall. It has a good variety of clothing, skate/surf gear and accessories. The prices are what you'd expect to get anywhere for surf clothing. I was impressed with their shoe sale that was on a while ago, you could get a pair of brand new DC skate shoes for like $75-80. So if you can hold out for the sales, they're pretty good.

Had my hair done at the Stag a few times, it's agreat place that does a great job but it is pretty expensive. I only go there if I have a big function coming up. Otherwise I'd go elsewhere. They have shops in a couple of locations around town.

This review is for Assunta's Restaurant, Ballarat VIC

My wife and I went out in Ballarat for dinner with nowhere in particular in mind, we came accross Assunta's with no idea of what to expect. The venue is a contemporary and intimate place, with a good atmosphere and great background music. The waitress was fantastic. The menu is one of the best around, it was hard to decide which meal to order. The Prices aren't over the top, I always check the chicken parma price to rate against other places and it was $18. I had the chicken advocado and it was great. My wife tried the Assunta's Penne and she was very impressed. This is now a place that I know I will go to again and again. It's great!

This review is for Sovereign Hill, Golden Point VIC

This is a great place to take the kids but is also a good get away for couples/groups as they don't only cater for the young. The sound and light show is amazing! All history of Ballarat Eureka Stockade and mining as well as shows, panning for gold, horse drawn carts etc. $30 entry for adults but they also offer family yearly passes which are only about $100 (2kids&2adults) for unltd entry and discount for friends you bring along which is great.

Since the first time I took my dogs to this VET, I have been blown away by their professionalism and care of my pets! They know the dogs names and their conditions without looking up records. I have not been to another VET that has shown the same attention.
