The pre site manager advised we need to organize 2 weeks temp fence after demolition before Metricon takes over the site. Then told me the temp fence should be 4 weeks after my home was demolished. Ok, no problem, I paid extra money to extend the temp fence to 4 weeks.
And now, they told me they are going to have Christmas holidays and they will move to construction next year. The demolish was completed in November and all relevant documents including asbestos clearance certificate were sent to Metricon on 15 November and at that time they advised me they would move to construction phase before Christmas. It looks like no one care about the customer and the standard answer from them is always “we will let you know when we have further updates “.
They don't care about their misleading information would cause cusotmer pay extra money, for example, they advised you building permit expected to be granted at the end of Aug, and after you organised renting house and move out, they sent you email saying building permit would delayed to mid OCT, they told you they would take over the site 2 weeks after demolish, and then they sent you email saying would be 4 weeks after the demolish was completed, and now the site is still sitting there for two months. Totally hopeless.
