Tried this cafe with my friend just Christmas. Needed the coffee to help us survive all the shopping we were about to undertake. Really enjoyed the coffee and cake but did find that the service was lacking, it was not overly busy at the time. The staff were friendly enough, just a bit slow. I would return again just the cake, it was deliicious!

Stopped here for brunch on our way to Clare for the extra long weekend. The food here is so fresh and delicious and such variety, muffins, cakes, gourmet rolls/sandwiches, wraps, tasty salads etc. Almost anything and everything. Also, their freshly brewed coffee is a must try! We had two cups each, that helped us get through the rest of our drive to Clare. Very friendly staff, hardly any waiting time. Unfortunately they close at 3pm so we were unable to stop for a meal here on our way back. That was disappointing.

Really liked this pub it had a good feel to it. We understood why they won an award for excellence, the food was fabulous as well as the staff being very efficient and friendly. We ordered from the bar menu and I have to say it was difficult choosing which meal to have as they all seemed extremely appetising. My husband had the 250g rump steak and I had the chicken schnitzel with peppercorn gravy, salad and chips (loved the gravy). Our meals were excellent, my husband said his steak was perfect. Our meals tasted very fresh and of a high quality, also generous servings. The prices were a bit high for a meal from the pub menu, but they were delicious. This is a place we will definitely return to. It was a fab lunch before we were off trying more wine.

Had a late breakfast here before setting off for the days wine tasting. A really nice welcoming cafe, very friendly staff. Had a look at all the products/produce for sale whilst waiting for our breakfast. My husband tried the scrambled eggs and smoked salmon, I was a bit boring and had a bacon and egg roll (it certainly didn't taste boring, it hit the spot) My husband thoroughly enjoyed his especially the salmon. All went down well with some freshly brewed coffee. We ended it so much, we had breakfast here the following day. They had quite a few different options for breakfast which was great. Very friendly atmosphere and definitely recommend you try their breakfasts.

This is a fantastic Tapas Restaurant, what a find! The food we ordered was sensational, loved the salt & pepper squid, pork belly, soft crab shell with garlic and their dips with pita bread, I could go on, we ate so much. As for the wine, well we really enjoyed the wine tasting and a a delicious bottle of Mr Mick Shiraz (one I definitely recommend). The presentation of the food was great as well as the taste of course, servings were very generous and the staff very friendly and helpful with our selections. We could not believe the prices, so reasonable - the most expensive meal was the pork belly (around $17) but the rest of the meals started from around $8 - $12. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and highly recommend them.

Went to the Clare Valley over the long weekend as my husband managed to get a couple of extra days off. This restaurant/winery was on the top of our list to visit, as our friends had a lot of nice things to say about it. Well, we were not disappointed, it is such a lovely place, great views with excellent food and wine. We had the ploughmans lunch with some fabulous wine sitting outside under the olive tree overlooking the beautiful garden and vines. It was so pleasant and relaxing, except it was quite busy. We were lucky enough to get a table, I would advise that you book the weekends. Very friendly welcoming staff is what you will find here with quality food and wine. Will be returning on our next trip for sure.

Came across the lovely cafe whilst out for a drive with my husband. Such a great location in the hills with eating areas both inside and out. Seems to be very popular with cyclists. We felt like a coffee and possibly something to eat, well after looking at the menu we decided we had to have something. I decided to have the Cudlee Gourmet burger which came with all the trimmings and chips. Actually it was so big I could not finish it, it really was delicious. My husband had the steak toasted sandwich which came with all the trimmings as well (pineapple, beetroot, bacon, egg, tomato etc), it was also served with chips. He did manage to eat his. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals and found the staff to be very friendly with fast service even though it was quite busy. The menu is quite good, they cater for vegetarians as well. There is also a breakfast menu, not very big but looked great, worth trying. The prices are extremely reasonable, so go for a drive in the hills and drop in, you wont be disappointed.

Love their home made sausage rolls and brushetta. My friend tried one of their sandwiches and said it was so tasty and fresh. Quite an extensive menu with plenty of variety, I will be trying their quiche next time, it looked delicious.
Very fast friendly service at very reasonable prices. Definitely worth dropping in for lunch.

My husband and I first tried Captain America's many many years ago when it was in Lilydale. We were quite sad when it closed. But while visiting family in Melbourne we were informed that there was one in Ferntree Gully, so we knew we had to check it out.
We really enjoyed ourselves, the meals are still huge and I still couldn't finish my burger, loved the onion rings and buffalo wings. All food consumed was enjoyed by all, but no one could finish their meal. Booking ahead is essential as otherwise you might miss out. The staff were very friendly, overall it was a fun meal out and would definitely recommend to others.

This was my second attempt at having a pleasant birthday dinner as our previous one was horrible. Fortunately this restaurant was not far away, really liked the name and the aroma as we got closer was driving us crazy.
Luckily for us they had a table available, so we ordered some entrees - Garlic & Herb Turkish bread, trio of dips and some brushetta with a lovely glass of red wine. Our entrees were delicious as was the red wine. The woodfired pizza menu looked very interesting, Roast Red Duck was one of the them. They also do Dessert Pizza's, Cherry Ripe Pizza, delicious!
The Staff were very pleasant and welcoming which made our meals more enjoyable. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner 7 days a week. Kids meals are around $10.
Really enjoyed our meals here in a very pleasant atmosphere. Will be returning for one of those interesting pizzas! Definitely recommend.
