Yes I would very much love to leave additional feedback.
I reserved a table for 7pax through Fork. It was my grandson’s 18th birthday and as a family, we decided on the Kings Beach Tavern. This was our first family get together since Covid started. We arrived on time and ordered a bottle of wine and individual drinks. We also ordered 2 buckets prawns, 24 oysters and 3 buckets cheese toasties as entrees. We were advised by cashier that if we didn’t want to come up and order mains, we could order online. During our entree, we decided to order our mains at the counter. At 2040hrs, we go to the front counter to order mains and was told kitchen was closed.
If cashier told us that kitchen closed at 2000hrs, we would have ordered mains earlier.
When a staff member was approached, he stated that all locals knew what time they closed. We were not locals. We travelled 21/2hrs to spend time in CAloundra. Booking through Fork, did not give us times kitchen closed when booking.
Also, while we were enjoying our entrees, a staff member( we think he was a staff member as he did not formally introduce himself) rudely interrupted our table asking who had given them a 0. He started interrogating me which made me feel embarrassed and humiliated in front of my guests and other patrons in the restaurant. It was a disappointing end to our night as we had to quickly find another place to eat. We stopped at Papadelles Pizza at Kings Beach and enjoyed Wonderful pasta and pizza. Thank you Papadelles for saving the night.
