This review is for Chop Chop Sushi, Graceville QLD

verified email - 02 Jan 2014

Chop Chop Sushi is a great looking place - it suits the suburb of Graceville in that respect; the staff are courteous, the place is clean and there is a good family-friendly feel all round. Despite their courtesies, the staff weren't overly attentive (despite it not being too busy) and there wasn't enough info regarding dish costs (as it can get out of hand pretty quickly when I am hungry). I ended up taking a picture on my phone to refer to it! Importantly, the quality of the dishes was above average, but probably overpriced by 20%.... Not a bad place, but I won't be going back there if it is out of my way.

This review is for Ocean Clipper Inn, Rockingham WA

You get what you pay for with the Ocean Clipper Inn - and this is not a bad thing. No, it isn't luxurious or decadent, but it isn't bad. First impressions weren't great, but once settled, it is a handy, central location to all that you would need in Rockingham. Rooms are basic and large enough. Shower and bathroom wasn't the greatest; in serious need of an update, but it was clean. Overall, not a bad joint to stay when in Rockingham.

This review is for Grey Gums Hotel, Jamisontown NSW

Grey gums is a good place to stay in Penrith - not too far from the Penrith Business District and really handy to the M4 Western Motorway. Close to a wide range of restaurants also. Now, onto the hotel: this place is just easy - easy to find, easy to check in and easy to get a park. The rooms have plenty of space and the service is pretty good to be honest. But, on staying here, you just get the feeling of being back in 1995 - not such a bad thing for some, but the place is dated a little. That said, there isn't too much noise and I always have a good night's rest at Grey Gums.

This review is for Rue De Paris The Coffee Boutique, Milton QLD

This place is okay the whole way, though the location is very good. We've had breakfast here a couple of times, and the ambience of the whole street is difficult not to like. Breakfast wasn't outstanding, but it wasn't under done or disappointing. Timing was good and the service was chirpy. Look, it probably isn't the best place in the street, but it is passable.

This review is for Twinspectors Building & Pest Inspections, Capalaba QLD

verified email - 23 Dec 2013

We purchased our own home recently and had an array of options when conducting the building and pest inspections. Twinspectors offer both services in one (very handy at this busy time!) and were pretty responsive in getting it done at short notice. There were a few problems detected and were really well explained to me as a bit of a novice when it comes to building issues. It actually resulted in us getting back to the negotiations with the seller for an issue that needed resolution. All up it was around $400 for both inspections combined, which is pretty reasonable in this day and age. These guys are recommended.

Recently used these guys for termite control of our new property. We got the Termidor product which, while not cheap, is a quality product that should do the job. Some of the care taken in drilling around our house could have been done with more care, but anyway, it was done. The reception is very responsive and explained all involved, but I must get my hands on the warranty card for the Termidor treatment!! Competitive price, and didn't have too wait an age to get the service done. Would I recommend them? Look, it is a 6 out of 10, so go with them, but don't expect silver service.

This review is for Pets In Peace, Loganholme QLD

The entire experience of losing one of our beloved pets earlier in the year was softened by the Pets in Peace team. Simply wonderful service and communication provided dignity and care from total strangers who empathised with us in our loss. Highly recommended should the time come. Thank you Pets in Peace.

This review is for Panarottis Pizza & Pasta, Penrith NSW

verified email - 23 Dec 2013

If you're wanting a big feed at a good price, then head to Panarotti's on a Tuesday. The pizzas are really quite well done and don't cost an arm or a leg. Very family friendly and accommodating to particular tastes. The quattro (four flavours on the one pizza) is a great option if you want to try a variety of their pizzas. Garlic bread is always well done also. Service is average - but this is probably due to the generic nature of the restaurant - it isn't outstanding, but you'll have a satisfied appetite by the end of the sitting.

This review is for Penrith Panthers, Penrith NSW

Truly a world of entertainment - multiple bars, adjoining restaurants, conference rooms to host all sorts of conventions and plenty of machines. While not everyone's cup of tea, Penrith Panthers is a good place to hang out, have a few quiet drinks and people watch. Friendly staff, I always find the back bar (Squires Terrace Bar) a good place to chill out with mates. Good times at Penny Panthers.

This review is for Osso Bar & Restaurant, Penrith NSW

verified email - 23 Dec 2013

Osso is an outstanding local restaurant - don't be turned off by the club in which it resides. The service is first class and the wine list is extensive (and can be quite expensive!). The feel you get from the staff is that they simply know what they are doing , what their produce is about and where it has originated from. Not a massive meal menu, but of very high quality; boutique steaks to suit a regular to very high budget. Special occasions - this is a great place to go rather than venturing into the city.
